Solid fan, but expensive and loud when heating
Bought this a few weeks ago. As a cooling fan it is very good. Quiet, effective, and safe for children/pets. It may be obvious to most, but this is not an air conditioner, its simply a fan for moving the air around so it wont actively cool the room, but it will feel cooler. I think the air purifying aspect is overblown. Haven't had pollutants more than single digits in an old house. Maybe we are just clean or maybe it will come in to its own during bushfire season. As a heater it is simply too loud to have on while sleeping - I don't know why it is so much louder as a heater, but its probably 5-10x louder than the equivalent cooling fan setting

Missing feature due to “legal” reasons
I purchased the Dyson Purifier Hot+Cool HP1 as an upgrade/replacement from my old Hot+Cool Link. The BIGGEST downside to this (and I suppose all newer Dysons) is the UL 1278 restriction in the US which means we can no longer remotely control heating through our app. This means no scheduling at all, and in the winter months when used in the basement office, the heating function is limited. I know it’s not Dyson’s fault, but there was no mention of the UL restriction on the website and just sucks. I may have tried to spend money fixing my Heat+Cool Link instead of getting a new device.

Looks great and works!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Just received my new Dyson Purifier Hot+Cool in white. Firstly I would like to say it looks amazing in white.
Turned it on with the included remote and started testing all the features. I tried the heating and it got hot pretty quickly. Tried the cool and it took about thirty seconds or so to cool back down but once it did the cool breeze was immediately felt. Tried all speeds and above 5 the airflow was sufficient coverage for my living room. The higher speeds at level 9 and 10 you can start hearing a little noise. The filtration works as it did suck in the smoke from an incense I used to test. All in all, great machine.

Great performance
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I purchased the Hot + cool last year and bought a seperate air purifier, I found I was moving the 2 upstairs and down a lot of the time, the purifier hot+cool HP1 performance is great Heating up the room in no time with virtually no noise at all, the cooling system is of eaqually high performance, the filtration system I am hoping will be of Dyson’s high standard but I need to test this over a longer period of time.
The price is on the high side but a good investment, I would say if your budget allows this is the one to go for, great all round performance, space saving and the remote is a great feature

Great Air Care System in A Small Footprint!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is an upgrade from my Dyson TP02 which was a great fan and filter in itself. The Dyson HP10 is a significant upgrade! It is notably quieter even on the highest settings. The room I have the Dyson running in is essentially dust free. It heats quickly and on demand which is a great bonus feature.
The only downside is the shorter model is too big to be a desk fan but not quite tall enough to be a great floor fan. However the fan pivots upward giving you the ability to cover airflow upward. Additionally I wish Dyson included an aluminum remote instead of a plastic one for the price.

Great heater, ok cooler
Brought to cool our bedroom down in summer. The cooling feature is ok, found that it pushed the air around rather than cooling the space. Now that its winter, it is worth every cent. Warms the room so quickly and it's the best heater I've owned. We use the app, and love that we can set a timer for the heater to come on in the morning, or set a timer for when we are going to sleep. The night mode is great, its quiet so it wont keep you awake. The app is easy to use and great to changing settings.

Dyson improve mob app and reduce remote functions
New UI in App and it’s better than the other interface - I believe all mobile app should update. The Airflow, Heating/Cooling, etc. is better. The reason for the 4 not 5 star is the remote!! Dyson have removed the button for how long before turns off, so only controllable via app!! A backwards step. I also think it’s annoying that all remotes don’t universally across all devices!!

Happy
Only had this for a few weeks and I’m really impressed. It’s really effective at heating a room, my central heating hasn’t been coming on, so I’m only heating the room I’m using. It’s not too noisy, occasionally have to turn the TV up a notch. Looking forward to the summer to see how effective it is a cooling fan. Quite light, so easy to move to different areas of the house, I like the display which indicates the level of contaminates in the air and see the reduction in ppm as the air is filtered. Overall happy with the purchase.
