Only buy if you can close off the room
I purchased 2 weeks ago and explained the room was under the stairs and fairly open - it is smallish room though. I ran it pretty much all day yesterday (10 hours) - on max/ 6 - without the fan which gets too noisy other than at the start when I have it on. It does pump out heat if you are standing above it but it's definitely no good for this sort of room which has open areas on two sides and no door. In a bedroom or living area where you can close the area off might be okay. I'm off to buy another radiant heater to replace the one which broke after many years of good service and which seems to work better in my living room or at least make you feel warm!

Great for use around kids
Doesn't get hot to touch, love the thermostat which cuts out at the desired temp so you can leave it on all night but not waste electricity. We love it so much we have 3 for different rooms in our house.

Good Choice
I bought this heater yesterday for our medium size open plan living, dining, kitchen area. It heated the area very quickly on the high setting with the fan (which is a bit noisy). I only needed the fan on for about 15 minutes until the room was warm, then turned the temp down to medium for the rest of the evening. It was lovely and cosy on a very cold winter evening. Worth noting is the panel at the back of the unit; this heater is made for wall mounting and the back is not nice looking like the front, as it has the wall mounting slots, screws and stickers showing. Also, not sure why they chose to angle the top vent facing the back of the unit, maybe the designer thought it looked more sleek from the front, but heating the wall doesn't make sense to me.
We are using it as a free standing unit so this doesn't really matter for us, but I would have liked it to look nicer at the back, and the feet are plastic. I was a bit hasty in store and didn't notice that.
However, its doing the job.

Good and Reliable
I bought this heater about a month ago, so far so good, warm enough on cold days and nights. It's suitable for a small to medium size lounge room or bedroom. If you have a big open plan then you need something stronger or more than one heater.

Does it come with thermal cut off?
Hi there. Thanks for your question. The heater has a thermostat that you can preset to a desired heat. Once the temperature has been reached, the heater will switch itself off and then switch on again once the temperature drops
