Can't use any more
The enamel on the inside of the pot has started peeling, mixing with the rice and making it inedible. I've only had it for just under a month now and I can't use it any more.

Importantly it cooks rice well. The removable lid alloy liner and lid are harder to clean than a basic glass removable lid. The base feet are very slippery and do not grip surfaces well so the cooker slides when handled which could effectively be dangerous. The lid is quite difficult to open compared to glass lid on our previous Breville. The side 'handles' are also poorly designed because it is difficult to pick up and carry meaning the cooker could easily be dropped.

WORST rice cooker in the history of rice cookers
Bought this a little while ago and I conclude that this rice cooker is GARBAGE. Over-engineered for no reason, hundreds of nooks / crannies / crevices where gunk builds up fast and is impossible to clean, the lid on the underside has heaps of parts and is a nightmare to clean, rice ALWAYS sticks to the bottom in a crusty layer as the heat source is too powerful (although instructions have been precisely followed), flimsy plastic feet on the bottom which have no grip causing the unit to slide everywhere as you’re removing the rice, the steam outlet is on the top and shoots dangerous and damaging steam into the cabinetry above, two hands are required to open the lid as there is a difficult catch mechanism, condensation constantly drips from the rear lid section and is meant to fall into a reservoir (doesn’t)…..the list goes on and on. Whoever designed this cooker has never cooked rice; it’s not rocket science. WORST RICE COOKER EVER. Teflon coating also comes off very easily. If just one person is spared the pain that I have endured with this appliance, this review has done its job. Do not buy this pretend rice cooker under any circumstances.
