Rated 1 out of 5 by from Can't use any more The enamel on the inside of the pot has started peeling, mixing with the rice and making it inedible. I've only had it for just under a month now and I can't use it any more.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Honest Review After 4 Months of Use I’ve been using this product for about four months now and unfortunately, I’ve encountered a couple of significant issues—one of which could pose a serious health risk. 1. Design Flaw – Steam Condensation Collector: The steam condensation collector consistently falls off, even with minimal movement. This leads to frequent messes and makes the product frustrating to use. 2. Non-Stick Coating Hazard: After just a few uses, I noticed the non-stick coating beginning to bubble and eventually peel off. This raises a major concern, as the flaking material could easily contaminate food during cooking. I attempted to register a complaint, but I’m not confident in how seriously the company is treating this issue or whether they intend to recall or improve the product. For now, I cannot recommend it, especially considering the potential health hazard.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from sunbeam rc5600 7 cup rice cooker and steamer Importantly it cooks rice well. The removable lid alloy liner and lid are harder to clean than a basic glass removable lid. The base feet are very slippery and do not grip surfaces well so the cooker slides when handled which could effectively be dangerous. The lid is quite difficult to open compared to glass lid on our previous Breville. The side 'handles' are also poorly designed because it is difficult to pick up and carry meaning the cooker could easily be dropped.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Failed part, no replacement available This rice steamer has been great and used for a few years but the non stick coating on the aluminium bowl has twice broken down and flaking off. Although previously a replacement part was available, this is no longer the case. It is very poor that a replacement part isn’t available for a product that is currently available for sale. Sunbeam used to be better than this.

What is the litre measure of the bowl?

Thanks for your question Debs. Sunbeam do not use a litreage measurement, instead using cups of rice to measure, as water volume will vary depending on rice type. This accepts up to 7 uncooked cups of rice, and includes it's own measuring cup. Hope this helps! ^CO
