Being the refined loose tea brewer and drinker, I had all kinds of electrical kettles, and Breville is the best of the best: efficient, reliable manufactured in modern and stylish design to flatter any counter tops ether at home or in the office. I also have a juicer. Love it too!

Improvement suggestion
I love this jug. Is my third one so far.
However, it NEEDS to have the MAX level highlighted. Either make it red so stands out, or add a light on this area so can clearly see the mark when filling the jug. Or if you have a better idea? It REALLY NEEDS THIS ADDRESSED.

Perfect it its simplicity!
Beautgiful in its simplicity, robust and well made, this kettle does its job perfectly. This one is a replacement for an ealier version that we'd had for years that finally died. It's easy to handle, quick and I never scald my hands when refilling. Highly recommended!

Kettle - Soft Top Pure
The plastic strip on the body in front of the handle stated to pull away from the kettle.
Given the COVID situation I glued it back on with Gorilla Glue but was a little disappointed that tis would happen on a brand new product.
Otherwise kettle working fine.

Excellent Kettle
This is my second Breville kettle- the first one lasted 14 years! It looks fantastic, is great to use and is really quiet. The soft open and close feature is great and also reduces the likelihood of steam burns. Overall all, the best kettle for the price.

This kettle replaced anther brands one and boy how happy am I, this kettle is easier to fill, opens when the button is pressed & boils quickly all the things the other brand did not. It is easy to clean & to top it off was not expensive either.

Upmarket kettle with a modern design
Has a quality feel and upmarket, almost industrial looking design. Liking the soft close lid. No issues with speed and noise. The only thing that could make it better would have been a light on the inside. Well worth the $110 discounted price.

Great kettle, and really good warranty/service. Nicely finished and quality feel. The only downside is it is difficult to empty the kettle entirely as there is the top metal lip that the lid sits on, so have to descale kettle more frequently

Absolute crap kettle
We had a Breville kettle and stopped cutting off after boiling after about 12 months . Bought one of these. After 2 months, same problem and was replaced. Replacement kettle has only worked for about 6 weeks and the same problem again.

A no-nonsense kettle that is reliable, fast to boil, has large capacity, and built to last. We brought our kettle around 10 years ago, and it gets daily usage. In that time it's never missed a beat. No regrets about buying this kettle.

The Kettle heats the water quickly. Near boiling can be a bit noisy but not really a problem.
Love the soft opening top.
Can be a little difficult to read the water level indicator.

A good kettle. Much improved on my previous soft top kettle as the soft top cracked. This one seems to have used a different material in that area. I had no problem buying a similar kettle. My previous one lasted a long time.

Capacity scale
The previous version of this kettle has the capacity scale in the back and it was illuminated. Now the scales are on the sides but it is not functional - you cannot tell how much water you put because it's dark and not showing.

Great kettle, quick to boil and the pour is without doubt the best you can get. 4 stars because the window level indicator doesn't light up and it is difficult to see water level. You won't be disappointed with this kettle.

Dissappointing
I have owned this kettle a few weeks. The brushed stainless steel has become discoloured in sections but sometimes most annoyingly it turns itself off shortly after turning it on before it has come to the boil. Not happy!!

Plastic flavored water
We've had this kettle for less than year. Plastic compounds are apparenty leaching into the water and have been from the start. Water tastes terrible. The single star is for the pleasent bell that sounds when it turns off.

Great product
I have had my soft top for almost 15 years. My first issue is that the on light is starting to go out. Still heats great! Family members have replaced their hot pots multiple times in the time I have owned my Breville.

Model changed??
Brought a Breville soft top as we had one (or 2) in the past and had been satisfied with it.
The new one we have now seems to be loud when on boil mode and I am sure that there was a light on the water level window.

We bought our first of this kettle 14 years ago, and now on to number 3. Heavily used and they last and last. Boils quickly, fairly quietly and only flicks off after a rolling boil. Purchased half price was a bonus.

Great gift for tea lovers
This is a gorgeous made in America electric kettle that can hold 7 Cups = 1700 mls shuts off automatically when it boils and has a chime to let you know it’s boiling. Bought it for a friend who absolutely loves it.

Recently started having issues
I bought this kettle 2 years ago and it was great until recently. The on and off switch (light) won’t stay on long enough for the water boil. The light keeps turning off while it is still in the on position.

It works well, I did give it inly a 3 star rating. Since I sent a kettle in for repair, paid repair fee, got a new kettle back in exchange. Unfortunately it was not a temperature controlled like my old one.
