It takes all our large bowls & is considerably quieter than all the microwaves we have had in the past. The flush front panel looks great & is easy to use. The interior light is great, all in all a terrific product.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best Microwave EVER This LG is the best, heats so evenly and quickly and a pleasure to use can't fault at all. Looks really good and yeah so easy and such a pleasure to use. Touch controls are really awesome and very responsive. Old microwave would never heat things in the centre, always the edges and require mixing, constantly. Plus frozen pies would take forever to heat the middle, and even require pressing the middle of the pie to shift around the frozen bits and the edges would be hot at that point. Was always cooking the edges with everything. This inverter works so well intelligent cooking for sure.

From preset options like soften to melt and even cooking bacon complete with crispiness. The 30 second quick choice option makes life so much easier. My favorite part is the musical sounds it makes instead of the high pitch beeping other microwaves make. You can even cook a casserole in it along with so many other yummy recipes. Definitely my favorite kitchen addition!

I found that this microwave had most of the features I was after, including inverter and sensor cooking. The child lock is an important feature for me, and the minimal buttons visible on the front means it was a better choice to have with a child around. The touch screen buttons work well. The only function it is missing (as far as I can tell) is a kitchen timer. Though I've only had the microwave for a short time, so far it has done the job well.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love, Love, Love I only just bought it week ago. It may be a little early for a review. Its just fantastic! I love the features it has. The light turns on inside when you are cooking/warming up. Any thing frozen when you defrost it is not soggy. Bread tastes like it was just from the bakery. 30sec button is great if you need to melt butter or chocolate etc. I love the chime noise it makes when item is ended. If you forget its in the microwave the chime noise reminds you. For me personally its the best microwave I have owned. The 42l is large size for families you can fit large dinner plates in it. With smaller micro you cant.

The selection of auto features requires selecting a numbered code, which in tern usually requires me to look up the instructions. A word describing the action would make it much easier to operate.

It explodes and sprays all over the inside before its fully melted. Tried the melt butter function and quick heat. If that didn't happen it would be 5 stars.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Time selection must be in 10 sec multiples Cannot select time other than at 10 second intervals. ANNOYING. FRUSTRATING. DUMB. Many times a day I want to select an interval like 17 seconds because I know that 20 seconds is too much to warm up the food to room temperature. 20 seconds takes it too far. But you cannot do this with many LG models. So I have to stand there and watch the seconds tick down from 20 to 3, then stop it. I could have been doing other things. In many other ways this is a brilliant microwave for thawing by weight and food type, heating, cooking etc, but this one feature is very, very annoying. LG, take a second look at it, eh ?

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I love it Great quality non slamable door, light enough for me to move easily, nice tune on completion set at a normal volume rather than that horrible high pitch beeping sound i used to run to stop in all my previous microwaves, only necessity buttons are displayed on the front door looking less cluttered. A 10 second more button as way as the standard 30 seconds. It feels as if you're touching an ipad.

It will keep chiming at approximately 1 minute interval until you remove the food from the microwave. Other than that, I'm really happy with this purchase.

Took it to Harvey Norman Porirua, they took more than 2 weeks to repair, they repaired it. Brought it home and used it for a couple of days, then it blew up again. Took it to Harvey Norman and they refused to refund me and instead they were going to repair it again. We have been without any mircowave for this period. Don't buy this product from Harvey. Worst product and Harvey has got the worst return and refund policy.

It is great, it's quiet, functions well, is large capacity but compact footprint, looks great etc. However at the end of the day it is just a microwave and is unlikely to make you smile first thing in the morning when you make your porridge. Our only beef was the absence of a timer.

Glad I did, it does so much I’ve hardly used my oven. I chose this model because of features, size and reviews and I’m so glad I did. The large 42L capacity allows you to heat and cook larger dishes with comfort. Plus, with smart inverter technology, you’ll enjoy even cooking results minus the cold spots in meals. The sleek black case look more modern and stylish, plus it really complements my kitchen décor. I love the intuitive touch controls, the easy to clean interior, and the reheating presets that I use every day! Overall, it is a great upgrade. Powerful, stylish and very convenient.

It is difficult to adjust cooking time, has no timer or clock and I’m constantly having to refer to the manual to use it, to the point that the manual sits permanently on top of it. I’ve just bought a different microwave to replace it and it’s not an LG! I wish I could get my money back but I doubt that’s going to happen. Total waste of money!!!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Smoke and burning plastic smell only 7 months old Smoke coming out at 7 months old. Don't rely on the 2 year warranty. LG state the microwave had excessive steam which made it rust (and burn) so deemed not a manufacturing fault and not warranted. This was used as intended (to heat food) the same as our previous Sharp microwave which lasted 15 years. We will never buy LG again.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good overall Good overall We decided to change brands after having the same model for a number of years, having looked at the LG range of microwaves, this model suited our requirement being larger capacity!! A little slower than our previous model but being a larger machine, this was to expected. The down-side that we find is that the timer only works in 10 or 30 second increment so to achieve the result that you require you hover over to cancel the time!! It would be great in one second increments. Overall, a good model but if the timer can be updated it would make all the difference.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Great potential but annoying issue This microwave is great in heating, so basically does a good job of its core job. It also looks nice. And for the price tag, this has some issue (especially if you are heavy internet reliant at home) 1. It interferes with the wifi and what it means if this is working then the internet in the house will not. Makes it really hard for people to do multi-tasking (need of Covid normal) 2. It builds excessive moisture which I have not seen with my previous LG micro's. I am worried that this may lead to rust or paint peeling in some time. 3. Touch screen is good but switches can only be accessed with the door open and the main timer touch screen with the door closed. It becomes a bit of a pain after a while.

What height dimensions are required on a shelf for this item? We have height of 315 mm . Is that too small?

Hi there. The height of the microwave is 310mm. The manufacturer recommends a 150mm clearance on top of microwave for ventilation. The recommended space would then need to be 460mm. Your space would be too small for this microwave. We trust this helps with your query

How do I cook Popcorn as there is no Popcorn button, how long do I need to cook it for?

Thanks for your question Livi. You can use the Manual Cooking function which allows you to cook food for a desired time. There are 10 power levels available. If you do not select the power level, the oven will operate at the maximum level. Further information can be found in the user manual included with the unit.

Hi, does this model have a trim kit, should you decide to put it into an open space in cabinetry. Or is it only for counter top.

Hi Anita, thanks for your question. This does not include a Trim Kit. For installation it will depend on the cabinet space available. For adequate ventilation please allow 15 cm of space on the top and 10 cm at the left & right and 5 cm at the rear. The front of the oven should be at least 8 cm from the edge of the surface to prevent tipping. Hope this helps.
