[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] After dreaming of owning one for so long, I was gifted a Kitchen Aid KM195 for my birthday this year. So far I have made sponge cake, biscuits, bread rolls, hot cross buns, pizza dough and buttercream. They have all turned out so much better than when I was using a hand mixer/kneading by hand. The plastic shield it comes with is a life saver for cleaning up, the dough hook kneads so effortlessly and you can even use the paddle attachment to crumb butter and flour together. If you are new to using a Kitchen Aid, I highly recommend downloading the cook book as it advises you which attachments are required for the recipe and the correct speeds. Absolutely highly highly highly recommend!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from My Kitchenaid Artisan broken in less than 6 months [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought the 4.7L Artisan stand Mixer last November 2023. Used it once a week for bread making and it started to play up in early March 2024. I contacted Kitchenaid to get it fixed. It took 5 weeks for them to fix it and send it back to me. When I recieved my kitchenaid artisan back, whoever fixed it did not put the parts together properly the back cover of my kitchenaid mixer is loose and there is a part where the attachments are supposed to go, the cover part of has a noticeable gap. It was really badly done. I'm very disappointed that this is the quality of a primium product.

My mum has been over several times to use it, and has joked she’d like to “borrow” it permanently. We are both avid bakers and have enjoyed using the many attachments. The splash guard is great as it is larger than the last mixer I had, and has an opening where you can add the ingredients mess free while the mixer is still running. The feathered pick colour is very pretty and subtle. I just wish KitchenAid would make more products in this colour, as it looks lovely sitting on the counter.

I worried it might be too heavy for me to move about, but the weight shown is for mixer/bowls & attachments so if you take them off when you need to move the machine it isn't too heavy. Have used to mix scones, cake & cream and it didn't have any issues, I really like having the two bowls as it makes things easier when using recipes that need to have 2 batters mixed separate. I used to love baking but my old mixer started to make it a chore, now I can again get pleasure out of it.

We chose the Pistachio colour, absolutely beautiful and explored all of the attachments. One thing we are very impressed with is the quality finish and the preciseness of the design and engineering. Everything fits exactly and has been considered. We've made our first cake which could have featured on the cover of a magazine. We are eagerly rifling through recipes books for our next venture. Can't wait to try the pasta maker! The Mix Master itself is a work of art and graces our kitchen bench. Very happy.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The perfect upgrade [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We finally upgraded from our 7 year old Kmart mixer and we’re so glad we did, it’s hard to believe that the difference could be so dramatic but it is. Our kitchen aid feels like luxury engineering, it’s smooth to move, and everything is so precise. Lifting the top of it, adding the attachments, putting the bowl in place, it’s seamless and simple and makes the set up and clean up easy. That’s not even getting to the mixing which it does so well, it’s quieter and feels sturdy, and even when mixing big amounts for long periods of time the machine works effortlessly. Such a great investment.

Given the price, we were initially unsure if it would be worth it, but making dough for rotis by hand can be quite challenging. We're happy to report that it works perfectly! For anyone reading these comments and considering the KSM195, it’s absolutely up to the task. We also own a food processor from another brand, but cleaning it is a hassle. With this one, cleanup is quick and easy, which probably makes it a better option than the food processor.

What colour is this mixer ‘pebbled palm’? Is it Black? Can you buy this in a Gloss Black?

Hi Annie. The colour Pebbled Palm is a dark matte Forest Green. This model does come in a black, but it is matte black, not gloss black. Hope this helps
