Looks great, works well
Bought this toaster to replace the one we got 20 years ago. Very happy with this purchase. It looks great, and toasts well. I like that it has a fruit bread setting, but wish it also had a crumpet/english muffin setting. It is fairly quiet when the toast pops up. Features such as being able to add a little more time if the toast isn't quite right, and to check the doneness without interruping the toast cycle, are useful.

OK....
Trial and error to find the best setting, but seems to give a good light toast at 2.5. The little bit extra and lift to look functions are both helpful. My only complaint would be when using the defrost option - seems to overcook the top half and barely cook the bottom half. I can live without that function though as it seems to toast frozen bread ok without it. Overall, not wowed but will do the trick.

High lift does not work
I bought this a few months ago and it has been the worst toaster I have used to date. anything that is smaller than an average toast bread is hard to get out of the toaster, ie Vogels, crumpets, English muffins, fruit toast. you either burn your finger as a result to get the toast out or have to use something to get these items out. The high lift lever does not work for these items either.

Uneven cooking
Have had this toaster for a few months and I find it very inconsistent. Sometimes it cooks toast perfectly, other times it is the complete opposite and I have to flip it in each direction to get the bread cooked. Obviously then have to watch it closely so some areas don’t burn. I’m a big fan of Breville products but don’t think I would recommend this toaster.

Disappointed
Ive had it about two and a half months. Really disappointed, constantly changing settings as never toasts the same twice, takes forever to get the job done. Haven't had a decent piece of toast out of it yet. Looks like I'll be giving it to one of the kids, as my partner feels the same about it. Don't waste your money on it.
