Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good machine, but cleaning it is time consuming We have 2 cats, a dog and a baby - so a fair bit of mess. We've only had this unit a couple of days, but so far it has been good at cleaning up minor stains (there are a couple of dark stains in our carpet which have been there for years, which as expected it didn't clean up). Specifically, it's worked well on old baby throw up and fresh cat urine. We have a spot of old cat throw up which was cleaned at the time with water and the carpet has since gone hard; the Shark unit didn't seem to make a difference there, but maybe it needs another go over. For us, we wanted something that is easy to grab and use at a moment's notice. We leave it filled with water so that the solution can be added quickly. However, cleaning the unit is fairly time consuming. Also the manual doesn't give much info on how to clean the pet tool (I've not used the other heads yet), and was a bit tricky to work out (FYI, the clear front comes off - which took me a while to find out). One other thing to note is that the included sample bottles of cleaning fluids have seals that are very difficult to remove when first opening, and involve getting your fingers in the concentrated chemicals. That might be a concern for some people. I haven't bought larger bottles yet so can't comment on those. Overall we're happy with this unit, and does a better job than carpet spray and paper towels!

Thanks for your question Jonelle! Shark have let us know their machines are not measured or based on suction power/air watts. Instead this is based on the power it pulls from the power point, which is 450W. Trust this helps clarify! ^CO

Does this product have a steam clean function?

Thanks for your question Rachel. This model does not have a steam clean function, instead relying on a combination of water and OXY Multiplier formula to provide a deep clean. Currently, Shark only have steam options in their mop range. Trust this helps! ^CO
