Netgear AX1600 Mesh Extender
This product has brought the other half of my house into the age of the internet. I live in a hundred plus year old house with an addition. The brick walls separating the new from the old have previously proved impenetrable to my standard wifi signal. After following the easy set up instructions for the AX1600 and installing the Nighthawk App on my iPhone, I was off and running. No more buffering on my smart TV and I swear the music through my wifi speakers is sharper and clearer. I would certainly recommend this product for anyone is having connectivity or streaming problems in certain areas of their house. Five out of Five!!!

Easy Installation and Great Performance
I used the Nighthawk App to connect the Netgear Mesh 6 Extender to my Wi-Fi network. Installation was quick and easy – just followed the Nighthawk prompts. After installing the Extender I moved it around until I found a place where I had both a strong signal to the Extender from my Verizon FIOS G3100 Mesh 6 Router and the fastest connection speed from my Amazon Firestick 4K Max to the extender. I am very pleased with the installation – can now stream movies and live TV with absolutely no buffering. This is a great product and I strongly recommend to anyone looking to expand their Wi-Fi network and improve the connections speeds of their wireless devices.

NETGEAR AX1600 - Excellent Choice
We replaced our 35-year-old pool/spa control system with one that connects to Wi-Fi. Our router range did not reach the new equipment. The NETGEAR AX1600 Is a perfect solution. I (thought I) had some issues with installation, so I called support. They were very patient and walked me through the installation process. It turns out that I had successfully completed the installation with the Night Hawk installation software before I called support! I am such a novice I didn't realize it was working. Next, they had me unplug it to reboot, making sure all of the parameters were set correctly.

A nightmare to configure
I've been using it for 2 years.
The setup is a complete brain splitter : the mobile app is nightmarish and I couldn't have the extender configured using it.
I managed to complete the setup through web console https://mywifiext.net. Much easier.
It was fine until I tried recently to connect to the console : I couldn't because browsers now block access to sites with invalid certificates with no workaround possible, apparently.
I tried to do a reset factory settings ;and sometimes I manage to make it work but still the admin console at http:/mywifiext.local is still blocked.
Wasted two many hours on it.
I wish there were a REST api that would allow to workaround those certificate issues...

Easy setup, no issues
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Needed to use the Netgear Nighthawk App which provided a very easy setup. The app also monitors how the system is performing which is a nice feature. I have aluminum siding on my home which does have a detrimental effect on outdoor signal strength. I use this to extend Wi-Fi reach into the backyard. I got an additional 70 feet beyond the house which I'm satisfied with. I'm also glad I decided on a mesh system as you don't have to switch Wi-Fi networks like you do with some extenders when you go beyond the reach of the original Wi-Fi.

Dodgy installation app
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Extender helped my issue but was difficult to set up. They ask you to download an app that requests you scan a non-existent QR code to proceed. Since there is no QR code they offered a “manual” method that didn’t work, so I had to call in. Still didn’t work, but got much closer. I finally succeeded by restarting my WIFI from scratch. Why no QR CODE?
Also, there are status lights on the unit. The meaning of these lights, which are pretty important for determining whether the unit is working properly, are not defined in the included documents in the package (really?). I had to find a user manual on line and download it to find out. Shoddy.

Pretty good—for the most part
The range of this Mesh Extender is amazing. I have just 2 small issues. 1.) There is an error in the quick start guide. The directions tell you to plug into the extender and connect to its LAN. Then it tells you to sign into NetGear, but you can't because the LAN has no internet connection. So you must call to get it set up. But my rep, Robert, was excellent. 2.) Though the range is greatly extended, it sometimes confuses the router and takes a couple minutes to connect. Other than that, the benefits of this router far outweigh the two small inconveniences. I recommend this product.
