Rated 5 out of 5 by Not_Bobo from Fixes the hard problems Wife's grandpa built the house, and decided if 1 nail does the job, 20 will do better. He basically built a faraday cage. Visiting the inlaws, I could get Internet if I bounced off outside the house. They constantly complained about "The internet is slow." I Bought 3 sets of these for them, told them where to locate them, and life is good. Sometimes you need to "think outside the box" - In this specific case, Mesh WiFi would not have fixed the problem. This was an effective solution.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Ianster from Great little gizmo. The powerline gets ethernet to a remote building that is luckily on the same eclectic service as the main building. Great for streaming there. The wifi gets a signal out to parts of the yard that were way out of reach before. This was a million times easier than the other option, running Cat-5 out to that building.

Rated 3 out of 5 by vondingdong from Kinda works I bought this to add some more range to our upstairs bedroom. The powerline feature worked well enough, but the wifi extension did not. It would not allow me to access setup to change the wifi name/password at all. I had hoped that I could add this to my existing Netgear wifi setup, but no luck. The wifi did work, but only on the default setting and I could not get in to add to my existing network.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Katrina.S from Great but large in size The Powerline 1000 is great for extending your wifi range. Have used to get wifi in the garage and studio 15m away from the house. The only negative is the size of the plugs. Both are so large that they do not allow for another outlet in a double powerpoint to be used making it challenging when having limited options.

In the manual it says not to plug it into anything other than the outlet itself (no power bars, extension cords etc), but both ends of the adapter take up both spaces on my outlet, so anything else I want to connect to it via Ethernet that needs power now has to run power cords from a different room! Definitely something that needs to be thought about and changed because it ruins the entire product for me.

Is this compatible with any router i.e ORBI from 2degree's. Our house is experiencing a lot of drops in our internet in different rooms due to being far away from the main modem. Hoping this can solve our issue's

Thanks for your question Matthew. Yes, this will be compatible with any active WiFi network, so long as it is in range. Please bear in mind it can only amplify the signal it receives, so you will need to optimise it's location in your home for best performance. Hope this helps! ^CO
