Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great oven, great pizzas I was going to buy a cheaper oven but then I found this in the Black Friday sale. The rotating stone and the electronic temperature sensing plus the large size were what sold it for me. We have used this several times now and each time have had success with the pizzas cooked very fast. This is a very sturdy unit that works well.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Pizza Oven at a more affordable price I was looking for a gas pizza oven bigger than 12", with good build quality and, if possible, a double burner, and I didn't want to spend more than a $1000. I found this gasmate portofino revolve on sale. Not only did it offer everything I mentioned above, but it also comes with a rotating stone, which makes the learning curve easier("ish"). IIt’s also relatively light compared to other ovens with similar features, like the Everdure Kiln, which makes it easier to install and transport. At the time of my purchase, I could only find one written review and one YouTube video, but on paper the oven ticked all the boxes, and since the brand is well known in NZ, I decided to buy it. I've been using it for the last 3 weeks and I can say I'm totally happy with my purchase. The stone reaches over 430°C in around 20 minutes (it takes a bit longer if it is windy), and with the bottom burner, you can keep that temperature more consistent. It doesn't come with any accessories, so you must buy a pizza peel, a brush to clean the stone and an infrared thermometer, as the built-in display only shows the temperature of the air inside, which fluctuates a lot, and is not the same as the one from the stone, that is the one that matters. The oven is extremely powerful so I learned the hard way to turn down to close to minimum before launching the pizza, and only using the bottom burner while the stone is rotating and briefly when recovering from the temperature drop after launching the pizza. Once you get the hang of it, and with the right dough recipe and toppings, the results are incredible. I have had some of the best pizza of my life. The only thing I didn't like so far of this oven, is that the gas hose could be a bit longer, specially considering that when the wind is blowing directly at the oven, you have to rotate it.
