Rated 2 out of 5 by from Disappointed I am not happy with the Airstrait. My original hair is kinda straight not curly one. I usually use Airstrait on wet hair with serum applied before using it, at 110 degree. 140 degree seems too hot on the hair which will damage hair in long term. The hair ‘looks’ very tame at the very beginning however after a while , say 30 min the frizzy hair appears and it looks terrible, even much frizzier than not using the Airstrait. I guess it’s because the hair have been pressed by hot air so its structure has been changed. It looks terrible. I expected no frizzy hair at all at least for half day, especially at this price point, I am struggling to return the product.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Not for me or my hair type I received this as a Christmas present and I was over overjoyed!!! However my hair is not liking it one bit . I have fine naturally curly hair and I normally use a Dyson hairdryer and then straighten with a Dyson hair straightener and always achieve a flawless look. Sadly not happening with the Airstrait.my hair becomes fluffy and doesnt stay straight for long. Also the power pack is so big and heavy,for obvious reasons, so I could never take away with me for weekends or holidays. I’m really disappointed with the product. I’m sure others will be delighted but sadly not me. For me it seems to over promise and under deliver

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Real results!!! I thought I’d write this review because I was out today and caught a glimpse of myself in the mirror and couldn’t help but notice how good my hair looked! I purchased my Airstrait a little over a month ago. The first time I used it I thought I was definitely going to return it. Well I gave it another shot and I’m so glad I did. There was and still is a learning curve, at least for me. The end result is healthy, shiny, soft, sleek hair. Far cry from the damaged, dry, dull, ultra processed hair I was accustomed to made worse by the result of the usual blow drying and flat ironing. In my opinion, the Airstrait is worth its weight in gold! It makes my “best purchases of 2024 list.”

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Very disappointed. I bought this a couple of weeks ago, expecting a time saver. I tried it once and hated it. Yes, it dried my hair as it straightened. But my hair was still frizzy, looked like it’d dried naturally. I needed to do it, as usual, with a straightener before going out several hours later. Also, any straightening around the hairline meant discomfort of hot air blowing on my skin. Yes, I turned the heat down, but then it didn’t dry efficiently. I hoped my adult daughter would like it, so gave it to her. She also tried it once and returned it to me. I don’t have the packaging still or I’d have tried to return it to Dyson. We normally love Dyson products.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Hugely not worthwhile I wouldn’t spend any money on this product unless my hair naturally dried straight and I just wanted to speed up the process. It has taken me longer trying to make my hair smooth with this than it would to blow dry and straighten my hair - and I’d get much better results following that process instead. I’ve followed all the tips, used expensive products with it and invested a lot of time and it’s fallen completely flat. Could spend an hour going over my hair with this and it’d never be fully straight or remove frizz. Was so excited to try it and the amount of time (and money) that I’ve wasted trying to do my hair with this has left me frustrated.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best Hair Tool I've Ever Purchased! This is by far the BEST hair styling tool I've ever purchased! I live in South Carolina, home of the worst humidity! On top of the fact, I have naturally curly hair, which I straighten! I also have 22" extensions and lighten my hair considerably! I section my hair when drying, but it only takes a couple of passes with no round brush or flat iron! My hair has never looked or felt better! It is so soft and perfectly straight when I'm done! Even better than a salon blowout and without the damage of a flatiron at 450 degrees! At first I was hesitant because of the price, but I'm so glad I took the leap of faith! Also cut down my blowout time in half! Just do it!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best device to straighten hair, period! I have thick curly/wavy hair and I am able to complete the straight sleek look in about 40 minutes. While this may seem long it doesn’t compare to blow drying first and then straightening for two reasons. 1) a blow dryer always leaves my hair looking like a bush, frizzy and big 2) when I straighten with a flat iron I always have so many crimps, especially at the skull because the flat iron can’t get close enough or the heat causes it to crimp. The Dyson air straight is designed in a way that I have smooth, soft, straight hair with no crimps and I absolutely love it. I think it even dose a better job than when my hair stylist does my hair. Highly recommend!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great product I think this is an awesome product if you’re able to afford it however, I feel like you could achieve a near identical look with much more affordable products. I will not be returning mine, but I also would not purchase another one. I also have the air wrap for going on a year and a half and I absolutely love it coming from somebody who didn’t know how to curl their hair without burning themselves it is a game changer. Overall, I think Dyson makes wonderful products that are much less damaging and super sleek in design but don’t feel pressured into paying so much — a round blowout brush and smoothing attachment will give near the same results 🩷
