Great Soundbar!
I spent a lot of time researching soundbars before purchasing the Sonos Beam and I couldn't be happier with my Sonos Beam purchase. Set up was extremely easy with my cell phone and app. The app walks through the set-up with very easy to follow step-by-step instructions. Once set-up was complete, the app has easy step-by-step instructions to sync up your other electronic equipment. The sound is quality is amazing! I also like the fact that the Sonos Beam is easily expandable to add other speakers. About the only thing that I would like but it's not a big deal would be a remote specifically for the soundbar. I highly recommend this soundbar.

Best Quality Sound for the Budget
The Sonos Beam I purchased has met and exceeded my expectations. I knew I wold be getting quality sound from it because, well, it's a Sonos product and their products have consistently gotten good reviews. But the one additional feature that sold me was the fact that I could seamlessly integrate my Amazon Music to play through the same device. I have a moderate to small sized 1 bedroom apt and the Sonos Beam works perfectly in this space. I get high quality sound from my TV and from my Amazon Music Unlimited from the same device. It took me all of about 10 minutes to set up and it worked well from the outset. I am very pleased with this product.

I have the Sonos Playbase in my main living room area and needed something for a smaller room (10x12ft) for my game room/office. I have two Play1 speakers that accompany the Playbase so in keeping with the continuity of brand quality, I ventured out to the Sonos Beam to fit a smaller room scenario. I was a little worried that the sound would suffer since the Playbar seems to offer the most robust sound reviews; however, result was a wonderful. Great sound with a smaller size and aesthetically pleasing design. Easy setup like all of Sonos products. I am very pleased with my purchase.

Addictive !
I started with a Beam 2 and have since purchased 8 other products for the house and probably haven't stopped yet. The multi- room music is brilliant and ensures wherever I go now I can continue to listen to my music and also enjoy my vinyl collection throughout the house also without it being limited to one room as it was previously. The Arc and surrounds I purchased for our main lounge are simply excellent and hope to add a sub soon to complete the experience. Setup could be a little tricky at times but it's now stable since I have tethered some devices to Ethernet to create the Sonosnet wireless in my house. Wish I'd bought them sooner.

The set up instructions are not clear
I tries to set up the beam from my android computer. The beam could be found, but after pushing the button on the beam the set up came back and indicated it could not find the product. After many tries I called support and was told it was probably my cable system virus protection. I called a local installer and they talked and walked thru the set up with support which took an hour. YOU CAN"T USE an Android computer to do the set up. It must be an android phone or tablet or an i-phone or tablet. Once set up, the android computer can be used to control the system along with the other devices. Please make that more clear. It would save a lot of time.

The perfect sound bar for our apartment
After doing hours of research on sound bars to upgrade our TV sound, I decided to pull the trigger on purchasing the Beam. I couldn't be more pleased with the sound quality and power this low-profile sound bar provides. The Sonos App allows you to seamlessly adjust volume (night mode has been a life saver for when we want to watch movies at night in our small apartment), EQ levels, and more. The speech enhancing setting is another useful function that actually works! If we ever move to our own house, I plan on purchasing the Sonos Arc and subwoofer!

One of the best sound bars
Having tried multiple sound solutions for a small-mid sized room, this one is by far the best. I appreciate its' tuning feature and smartphone contols very much. Makes it so much easier not to have a third remote that you will likely lose. The only things I have trouble with (and this is true for sound systems in general) is auto volume leveling for TV input. I can't find this feature or If it does have it, it's not great at all. Also, the unit likes to occasionally stop connecting to my WiFi, forcing a power cycle. Otherwise, it's amazing sound for the size of the unit, and you can hear dialogue at even lower volumes. This was always the trouble I'd had with other sound bars, either too quiet or too loud.

Works well, even with a TV without HDMI audio return channel
Our kitchen and living room are just different ends of one large room, with vaulted ceilings. We have two Sonos One speakers in the kitchen as a stereo pair, and a Beam in the living room. (We also have a Sonos One in our bedroom). It's cool to have great-sounding music through the house! We have an older TV that doesn't have HDMI audio return channel (ARC), but it does have digital audio output. The Beam works well, even though we lose some of the features that are available through HDMI ARC. The one glitch is that after watching TV, we have to use the Sonos app to re-group the Beam with the other speakers.

I've had my Beam for a couple of weeks now and the reviews online are accurate. It's a great soundbar for a family room TV - and music sounds good with no other speakers. This is my first Sonos purchase and I must acknowledge the excellent quality. I am thinking of adding a Sonos 1 behind my chair to add even more sound and to keep the wife happy with a lower volume. Recommended.

Game changing sound
I was looking into improving the TV audio/music system I had in our front room. All the research I was doing kept coming back pointing me towards SONOS - I am so glad I listened! The SONOS Beam has been a game changer for the home cinema and sound in my living room. I can't believe how my music sounds now and how I ever put up with it before. It is next level in terms of audio quality. Songs are richer and the movie experience is much more cinematic. I love the fact that SONOS is adaptable too. I have by eye on the subwoofer and some auxiliary speakers to complete the full home cinema set and it's great I can plug and play and build this gradually.

Great product
I love my Sonos system, I have a beam, subwoofer, and two Ones as surrounds. It is great, but my only complaint is that I wish there was an easy way to switch the Ones between surround mode and music mode when the input is coming from the TV. I watch a lot of music videos and concert videos on TV and for this type of programming I want the Ones to play the full audio range rather than being surround speakers. For normal movies and shows I want them to be surrounds. There is no easy way to toggle them between music and surround mode depending on what I am watching. Could you please add a setting in the app that would switch them between these modes?

Very easy to install and add to my existing Sonos system. The small footprint of Beam makes it easy to place under a TV. Excellent mid and high frequency response, good low end and stereo separation. The Beam allows you to listen to TV audio, stream internet content (radio, podcasts etc) and any audio on an I phone.The TV audio is good and speech enhancement is very good. Streaming YouTube music videos to a TV and to the Beam adds a whole new dimension to YouTube. The I phone connectivity is easy and a useful feature (Android would be a good addition). Streaming to other speakers allows listening in other locations when away from the TV or can create a home theatre environment.

Great sound, but the Alexa interface needs some work
We replaced a Vizio sound bar with the Sonos Beam and sub woofer combo, and the improvement in sound is immediately apparent. We can now rattle the windows and keep the neighbors up at night. I love how it makes itself the default speakers for our TV, but the interface for the built-in Alexa doesn't always work perfectly. Lots of times, this Alexa doesn't seem to hear our commands, whereas the Amazon Echo Alexa always got it right. Plus, adding our music library to "My Media" should require me to call our techie daughter for help. Plug and play it isn't, but once things are going, it's a pretty good system.

I'd buy it for my bedroom tv too
The Sonos Beam was given to me as a gift after a friend recommended to my wife. I had been thinking of getting a home theatre sound system for a while. I'm currently using the Beam only with no peripherals connected and I'm absolutely thrilled with the sound. I have it hooked up to a Samsung 75 inch 4K tv. It's crisp and clear with an excellent range as far as dialogue and background sounds. We have it set up in the living room. The sound direction is so precise after tuning it that it doesn't affect conversations in the adjoining open concept kitchen. It's easy to set up and the app makes it easier to tune it. I've had it for approximately 3 weeks.

Easy to set up and sounds great
I found this very easy to set up with my Samsung TV I just plugged it in the remote started working itself for volume. It sits nicely underneath the screen of my Samsung TV but I must admit I purposely bought a third party glass universal stand to allow this to sit underneath it fits perfectly. My only problem with this sound bar is that when there is a loud bass scene for example a spaceship flying past the screen or a loud car going past the base will make a vibrating sound when the volume is high this could probably be fixed if I added the sub but I find the sub is ridiculously expensive so I can live with turn the base down a notch

Wouldn't connect to TV
Set up was a nightmare. Does not come with a remote or instructions. Just says to download app and follow instructions. Not sure if not compatible with my Sony TV or if the blue tooth in product just weak. For the money extremely disappointing. I was able after nearly pulling all my hair out to get it to play on my tv with a connected HDMI wire but it Would not recognize my remote. It would start to connect and then lose signal. Therefore it played but very loudly and no way to lower the volume. I returned it and will purchase a Bose instead.

Sounds wonderful between disconnects
My beam is connected to my Apple TV 4K and TV via ARC. Setup was a little unintuitive, and once it was going it was great. Since then, on two different occasions I get silence and the Sonos app asks if I want to connect to the TV. After 5 minutes I am getting music though Apple Music but all television is silent. Restarting, unplugging cables has no effect. After messing with Apple TV settings I finally get sound. Then it repeats randomly about a week later. I was 30th in line to chat with customer service, got an agent and was promptly disconnected with them after they got my information. My Arc, on the other hand instantly connected and has had zero issues with fantastic sound and presence. Yin and Yang I suppose. My This is my Sonos story.

Great product
Simple install. I'm a sound snob and the product exceeded my expectations. There were a few tricks to get the sound synchronized with the TV. It may require assistance to located the necessary setting that has an unbelievably obtuse name - just go to the one you don't understand the name, that will fix it. Product is well designed, uses little space, fits nicely at the TV base, and plays music with great sound. The app is very good. Some not obvious items you need to find and memorize that we're not user obvious for me. But it's very doable.

Excelllent, one piece, sound bar
I purchased the Beam to enhance the sound of my flat screen TV. It connected to the audio HDMI port on the TV and the volume was instantly controllable from my remote. Sound quality is excellent but I needed to turn down the bass a bit. The only cons are that you cannot change the wake word for the Alexa voice control as I already have another Alexa enabled device in the same room and it would have been nice to be able to control both devices with different wake words. The other con is that when I turn on the TV set there's a brief lapse in sound. Both of my Cons are minor.

Great speaker but beware if you have an older TV
As far as the actual speaker goes, it's great- surprisingly loud, balanced and overall fantastic sound. My one issue with the speaker is that my TV is not a smart TV, therefore it has to be connected via optical cable. After going through all the set up through the app it allowed by Apple TV and normal TV remotes to control the volume which was great... except that only lasted a day. The next day, no matter what I did (reset, unplug, re-setting up the connection) it no longer worked with the other remotes. So now I can only control the volume using my phone and the app. It's a minor inconvenience, but one that would be great to not have to deal with.

Don't let the size trick you
I was one of the people waiting for what seemed like eternity until Sonos released the follow up to their original Playbar. In this case, it appears to have been well worth my continued patience. Right out of the box, the Beam offers crisp highs and mids, as well as some low frequencies that might normally hit a sub (but can't unless you've paired the Sub with your Beam) to round out the sound spectrum. Only issue I've had thus far is the amount of time it takes to power on this device. It's constantly in "standby" until the TV's ARC input wakes it up, so to speak. That can be as quick as five seconds, or sometimes more like 25 to 30.

Pleasantly Surprised
This is my 2nd Sonos product, the first being a One SL that came with my new construction house. I was cautious after reading some of the reviews but since I was so pleased with how the One sounded I thought I would give it a shot. I couldn't be happier with my purchase, it is perfect for the master bedroom and I imagine that it would do an excellent job in a larger room depending on the size of course. Take a chance and I think that you will be satisfied, especially for the cost and if your not satisfied Sonos has a 90 day return policy.

Great sound quality and value with a lot of flexibility
BUY THIS! Setup is so easy, sound quality is outstanding, even in my space with terrible acoustics and their customer service is the best I've experienced in any market. Worth the investment if you're new to Sonos! Cheaper bluetooths compromise sound quality bc of compression and have other limitations. And Sonos offers unparalleled flexibility and ease expanding your system. Their products last; my 9 year old Play:3 is still delivering excellent sound and has survived many accidental outdoor overnights. A little work around if you want to access any audio content not available on the app like specific podcasts or youtube, is plugging your computer into your TV's HDMI or casting to TV via Chromecast. And the desktop app is 110% reliable if you're having trouble with mobile app... I only use mobile to mess with settings.

Beam + Sub + 2 Sonons One = Best Surround Setup
I originally bought the Beam (for the simplicity of the HDMI ARC support) and Sub and got talked into buying a pair of Sonos Ones for surround sound from a buddy at work. I immediately noticed the improvement when viewing cinematic content and also when watching sports events. I liked it so much I bought a duplicate setup for our bedroom. This week the wife is traveling and so I've been cranking up the volume a bit on all my favorite shows. It's truly amazing! It was so easy to get set up, including configuring the system to play music in "full" mode where the surrounds act as another stereo pair. It makes entertaining with streaming music so much more enjoyable. All in all I could not be happier with my purchases.

Both my Beam and Soundbase are Great !
I rarely write reviews, but my experience with Sonon products has been nothing short of amazing. I first bought a Soundbase for my home in California. The unit is beautiful and fits our decor well. Setup was breeze (Apple-like in ease and simplicity) and the 'room acoustic tuning' is outstanding; resultant sound is great. We have lots of hard surfaces and, before the Sonos, we missed a lot of the highs and lows in movies and shows. Based on this experience, I bought a Soundbase for my Hawaii home and a Beam for the California bedroom. Similar experience with those also

Great sound for TV and music
I bought this to replace my old multi-piece stereo. I use it mostly for listening to Spotify, and it sounds surprisingly good. The balance of highs, mid and bass is pretty awesome for newer music. Where it is not so good is some sixties and seventies music with guitars and distortion. Like playing Rolling Stones if you crank up the volume, it sounds thin and flat. But at medium volume still sounds pretty good. Maybe I need the subwoofer to get that sound. But for anything that has been remastered, it sounds pretty awesome. And if you like electronic music or classical, it's amazing. Glad I bought it.

Why didn't I buy this sooner?
We've been living with the stock TV speakers for over a year since they are decent but our family room is the most room of the house. I finally started testing out speaker bars which I've avoided in the past due to output limitations but Sonos made me a convert. Their demo won by a landslide given the performance for the price. Everything was impressive. The low end notes are fuller than any other speaker bar I tried in that price range. I had the store employee replay the movie/music/game demo without the Gen 3 subwoofer and it still sounded amazing. We started with the just bar but we're going to add the subwoofer for Christmas since my autistic son sings and dances for hours in front of it. Best money I've spent for him but I wish I had done it sooner.

This was recommended to me by my son who has a generation 1
After17 years I finally replaced my my Sony TV. it still worked well, but the picture quality didn't compare to today's technology. I originally planned to connect the new TV to my existing stereo, but rewiring everything seemed impossible. My son recommended the Sonos Beam Gen 2, as he was very happy with his Gen 1. I initially thought I might need to add a subwoofer, but the sound quality of my new Beam makes a subwoofer superfluous for my needs.
