The picture and sound quality is amazing for such a large screen. It was super easy to set up and navigate all of the settings. I was really impressed by the custom image settings. It’s very customizable to your specific preferences. The versatility of this tv is great. Switching from a movie to a football game and then to a video game all with different picture settings is so convenient and really gives the watcher the best experience. It has a very user friendly home-screen that can easily be customized to your specific needs. The remote is very straightforward and easy to use! I absolutely love this tv and all of its features!

I recently purchased the 98-inch LG TV, and it’s been an incredible addition to my conference room. First, the slim design is impressive. It’s sleek and modern, making it a perfect fit for any space. Be prepared, though. This is an incredibly huge TV! The box itself is massive, so make sure you have enough space for delivery and unboxing. The screen size is perfect for watching sports, and we often use it to watch soccer games during team breaks. The picture quality is amazing. Sharp details that make you feel like you're right there on the field. I also appreciate how user-friendly the interface is. Overall, this TV is well worth it for its size, quality and functionality.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from 98' inch tv is a must for watching shows & movies [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We recently upgraded from a 65’ to this 98’ and the difference is unbelievable. The picture and sound is great right out of the box. We decided to use the legs instead of mounting it and they’re heavy duty for this size tv and feels very secure. It comes with all the apps you need installed and the remote makes it easy to flip straight to video apps we use constantly. The biggest surprise to me was the remote control. It’s a smart remote that has a curser on it and makes it easier to get from one page to the other while scrolling through the apps. We’ve only had it a few days but love it! My husband is happy to watch sports and I’m happy to watch movies with such a clear picture. Great user experience. Review submitted as part of a program that provides a purchase discount.

It’s not an OLED screen, so while it doesn’t have the absolute best contrast, the black levels are surprisingly good for an LED panel. Which is less than half the cost of a G4 for example. HDR is excellent, and I love that they’ve included the Filmmaker Mode, it really makes a difference for watching movies as the director intended. The size is incredible, covers almost my entire wall, and it feels like having a private theater at home. The OS is smooth, intuitive, and easy to use. Literally the same as the high end tvs, including the remote. Which it might be time for a refresh. But if ain’t broke, don’t fix it. Right? Overall, pretty happy, ready for the Super Bowl 2025! We are blown away by the crisp picture and quality of the TV. We live on a lake and our neighbors joke that they can watch our TV from across the lake on their back porch, the picture is so clear. My favorite features are the cursor on the remote and the ‘Always Ready’ feature which displays art, custom photos, and a playlist instead of turning all the way off. I also love how easy it is to connect to your phone and other LG devices in your home. It truly is the perfect hub to not only entertain, but something that you will use all day long. We always have our TV on because of all of the amazing features and the ambience that it brings to our home. I also will say, the Super Bowl looked pretty cool this year! :) The sound is good, but it isn’t the best, so I would recommend pairing with a sound bar for that movie theater feel.

This 98" tv is huge & that's one thing I love! We wanted a larger screen for watching movies & all the shows we stream & this tv is perfect for that. The picture & color quality is amazing, vibrant, & clear. The audio is SO much better than our old tv. We would have to turn the volume all the way up to 75 on certain shows & movies just to be able to hear it clearly, but this new tv has crystal clear audio that only on 11 or 12 is so crisp & clear. Setup was quick & easy! Almost all of my apps were already pre-installed & the other ones I just quickly downloaded from the Apps tab & signed in. I love the magic remote! It has voice recognition & a pointer where you can point at each letter to sign in, or point to the app you want to open. Great tv! 10/10!! Rated 5 out of 5 by from 98 inch LG UHD AI TV [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I decided not to wall mount it and instead use the 2 leg stands that come with it, for setup. The leg stands go on, vertical across the TV, so you will need a minimum of 18 inches in width for them. Once I turned on the TV, setup was easy (you can setup by your phone or the controller). I decided on the controller. I started watching TV, with various programs in both a light and dark room. I had various programs on. Content was action movies, sports, kid shows and documentaries. Hooking up to all my current apps, was easy, using a QR code and entering the codes. The sound was very good from the back of the TV. I found the sound was awesome on action movies as well as documentaries. I was approx 15 ft away at volume 40. When I played music only, the sound wasn’t as good. It didn’t have the full richness you would need and i suggest a soundbar. I was given this product in exchange for my honest review.

How many inches should be put around this TV for a recessed wall mounted application?

LG does not have any instructions for recess mounting the LG 98-inch Class UHD Series 4K UHD Smart TV 2024, Model # 98UT9000PUA, because the recessed area varies from one application to another. However, to ensure that there is enough clearance around the TV for proper airflow and access to cords, you may see recommendations from different experts recommending you leave around 10 to 12 inches of clearance on each side of the TV, to allow for easy access to the mount and the ability to attach or detach the TV without obstruction. The exact amount of clearance may vary depending on the depth of the recess and the size of the TV being mounted. It is also important to consider the weight of the TV and the type of mount used, as this can affect the clearance needed. The general guideline is to leave about 4 inches of ventilation space on the sides of the TV. This space is necessary to ensure that the TV can cool down properly and to avoid any potential damage to the internal components. It is also important to note that the rear of the TV should be at least 2 to 6 inches away from the wall to allow for adequate airflow. And other recommendations are to ensure at least 2-4 inches of clearance on all four sides of your flat screen TV to allow adequate airflow. This prevents heat buildup that can damage internal components like the power supply and display panel, and to avoid placing the TV in fully enclosed spaces without ventilation. Regularly dust vents and consider adding fans or vents to improve air circulation, maintaining optimal performance and extending the TV’s lifespan. The best advice we can give you is to have the TV professionally installed, as professional installers will have the expertise and knowledge for how much space is adequate for different-sized TVs, especially a 98" Screen or larger...^Ivan.

What is the brightness in NITs on this model?

Hello, Evan V LG does not list nits or candela per square meter (cd/m²) for the LG 98-inch Class UHD Series 4K UHD Smart TV 2024, Model # 98UT9000PUA, nor for any of our LG TVs that support HDR. You may or may not have noticed that since the advent of HDR, TV manufacturers stopped advertising the nits for TVs...^Ivan.
