Remote is tiny
This is a great TV, let’s be clear. Big and clear and tidy.
Sadly my over-50 eyes have a hard time reading the writing on the remote, the writing is small and there isn’t sufficient contrast to make out the writing in a darkened room. Additionally thr app shortcut buttons should be assignable on a smart TV, not hard wired to services I don’t use.
Plus, I wish the sound out of the digital output could be controlled by the remote (since I listen through an old pre-HDMI receiver, not the TV speakers). So I need 2 remotes to watch the TV.

A GREAT UNIT
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have purchased three Sony bravia TV'S 📺 back to back to back and most definitely will not be looking back lol. The sound quality is second to none and I won't be buying a sound bar to improve the sound quality because in my opinion it doesn't need one for my situation. The picture and colours are so clear, and I have not noticed any camera side motion stillness when watching sports, which has been somewhat of a let down in the past, not now. Without any doubts about putting my name to this tv 📺 I give Sony bravia a definite 5 STAR rating

chanel change👎
I bought this late last year. I don’t like the TV chanel changing system. Prior to this tv I have always been able to simply just press a number to change the TV channel. Now I have to find a menu, go to the correct place in that menu, find the chanel and press that number and even then the job is not done untill I scroll across the screen and press the confirm button. The worst aspect of this if I’m just looking around at what we want to watch I have to do this over and over untill I find something we want to watch. There is an alternative way to find a TV channel but it is equally full of steps that the TV operator has to know. Although I have used this alternative method I don’t understand it.

AVOID
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This TV has the most annoying complicated sound and visual settings that reset all the time. Also it has made our soundbar and bass speaker set up null and void as there is such a bad delay I was sick of resetting the sound all the time. Save your money and buy something that works how it should. We purchased this TV online urgently as our old TV (Samsung) stopped working and we had alot of issues with it over the last 6 years. I thought going Sony would be a superior brand but I wishI had researched it more.

Good TV
I have been a loyal Sony user for over 35 years and previously owned a mid-range Sony Bravia TV that included Japanese language settings. However, I recently purchased the Sony Bravia 3 and was surprised to find that it does not offer Japanese language settings, despite having many other languages available.
As a Japanese customer, it is disappointing to see this omission, especially considering Sony’s origins as a Japanese company. While I understand that the market in Australia may be smaller, it feels like a significant oversight and a cost-cutting measure that negatively impacts the user experience.
I kindly request that you include Japanese language settings in the next software update to enhance the experience for all users.

Disappointed
After setting up and learning some of the features I was dissapointed to learn that it does not have the facility to book or preselect free to air programs from the TV guide.

Impressive TV
I purchased for my 90 year old mother and she is going well with it. Sound and pucture far better than her previous.
However, considering her age and ageing populations both here in Australia and in Japan, I am dissapointed that the very simple remote control is so small. Or that there isn't the option to purchase a unit more suitable for older or less abled members of society. This thing is tiny, black and with tiny buttons. The most lost item in a home! Same layout and functionality on a remote 3x as big would be awesome for all users.
