Easy to use and clean
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've had the cooktop for about six weeks now replacing a Miele cooktop that was 20 years old and, as such, did not have the mandatory cut-off mechanism if the flame goes out. It's easy to use and clean. However, all burners don't have the capacity to simmer so I have resorted to using simmer mats. This is one feature that should be improved. I miss my old Miele which did have this capacity.
As i wash all burner components after any cooking that involves spatter each time, i find drying components takes quite a lot of time so simplifying the burner design would be an attractive feature.

Poor quality
The cooktop was poor quality and was delivered damaged. The after service from F and P was below standard and no attempt was made to replace the item urgently. We decided to buy a Bosch cooktop instead.

Avoid at all costs, poor design that keeps failing
I've had this cooktop for almost 2 years and the knobs have failed and been replaced twice. Writing this review after they have failed a third time! It's also very fiddly to get the burners to ignite even when the knobs are working, it can take several tries. Clearly a poor design that should have never made it to market.

Is stainless steel worth it?
The operational components of the cooktop work well. However the maintenance, in particular the cleaning of the cooktop, has let the product down overall. It appears the stainless steel is of a very porous nature, and in comparison to my previous cooktop, the time and effort needed to remove the stains has been a disappointing experience. If this is a common fault, I would urge other consumers to take this into account when purchasing a cooktop. However if this is a manufacturing fault, I would hope Fisher and Paykel would support their customers and investigate their concerns.

Cooking with gas. from
Highly satisfied
We have had the gas cooktop for approximately 6 weeks and the only problem we have had was the front left burner was difficult to maintain the flame when lighting the burner. However since cleaning the area it has resulted in the burner operating normally. We are satisfied with the appearance of the appliance and the ease of cleaning and would recommend it to anyone looking to purchase a 4 burner gas cooktop

Wonderful gas hob
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is so much better than our previous gas cook top. It heats up the water etc in saucepans very quickly and it is easy to regulate the temperature. It seems so much more efficient and I a, so pleased that I insisted on buying a new hob when our house was renovated.

Finish of Gas Cook Top is Poor
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Its only 9 months since we bought the gas cooktop and already the stainless steel around the burners and along the side are rubbing off leaving marks which cannot be removed which spoils the aesthetic look of the cooktop. Other than that it has worked just fine

Gas cook top
Looks okay but recently we are having problema with the knob as it is plastic inside, is was chipping and to be honest we are abit disapointed with the knob. And because yhe knob is circular, it is a bit hard to use when your in a hurry especially if your hand is wet unlike other that has easy to grip knob.
