Rated 5 out of 5 by from Undermount Rangehood We had the YM-9S Undermount Rangehood installed in July 2019. It has a sleek finish and easy to use controls, and a breeze to clean, you just pop the vents in the dishwasher and wipe the inside unit with a dry cloth. I paid a premium price for this rangehood as l hated always being left with the after cooking smells and this rangehood delivers, l never smell food after cooking now, the rangehood is a bit noisier than l was lead to believe but not over powering like a lot of other brands we've had. I would definitely re buy this brand in the future

From the moment it was installed, it completely transformed my cooking experience. The standout feature is, of course, the near-silent operation. With the motor mounted externally, all you hear is a gentle whisper—if anything at all. It’s perfect for open-plan living where you want to cook and still enjoy conversation, music, or a peaceful atmosphere. Despite its quietness, this rangehood is a powerhouse. It effortlessly extracts steam, smoke, and odours, even during heavy-duty cooking. It integrates seamlessly into my cabinetry, giving the kitchen a clean, modern look without compromising on functionality.

We’ve been using the Schweigen range hood for a few months now, and it’s been absolutely fantastic—especially for Indian cooking. We do a lot of frying and heavy spice-based dishes, and this range hood handles it all effortlessly. No lingering smell – The extraction is powerful enough to remove all the strong aromas and smoke within minutes. No more curry smells in the house hours after cooking! Whisper-quiet – The biggest surprise was how silent it is, especially at lower speeds. You can have a conversation in the kitchen while it’s on. Sleek design – It looks modern and fits seamlessly into our kitchen setup. Easy to clean – The filters come out easily for regular cleaning, which is essential when cooking with a lot of oil and spices.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from exhaust system This is a very strong exhaust system-possibly more industrial and commercial than domestic.I struggled to read the buttons beneath and recommend buying the remote control for this unit.I had to really get my head under to see which buttons to use. I imagine that this unit is quiet if the motor is installed away from the exhaust unit. We were unable to do this so it is not silent. But it certainly takes away fumes and steam.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very neat and tidy looking. Works well, has good lighting and operates very quietly. The controls are a little awkward to access. Perhaps a button to press to roll/drop down the control panel for access at the front edge of the unit would make it a brilliant product.
