Rated 1 out of 5 by Mark from Terrible Reliability Had the thermostat replaced twice and the control panel. The motor has now gone. The performance of this item has turned me off F&P products completely. From what I can find out it seems like the incorrect thermostats were installed in the manufacturing process and nothing done to rectify this. Was a supporter of F&P but not more.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Brad from Harvey Norman made me a hero, just for one day!!!! Whilst smashed with a level 4 lockdown.....again.... our dryer died, god bless it!!! I Scoured the internet to find a matching dryer to the washing machine and low and behold.... only 2 companies delivering in Level 4.... and only one with stock!!!! After smashing it on the old CC i waited.....being a Sunday i didnt have a choice but to wait really, but to my amazement i got a call on Monday to confirm delivery for Tuesday..... floored me really!! The delivery truck turned up during the 1 hour block allocated for my delivery and I was designated a hero by the wife(A very rare accolade I can assure you) And from there I have had a happy wife.... which meant i had a happy life! Well right up to my next faux pas...but thats another store

Rated 2 out of 5 by Kiwicreed from The features are good I brought this dryer last week, and do not blame Harvey Norman, my issue is with Fisher and Paykel, as to why some shops have the stainless steel drum, but when you get the product the drum is galvinised steel,a cheaper less wearing material.

It was purchased to replace an earlier model which was purchased in March 2006 and incidentally was still working perfectly. One month before ordering this dryer I purchased a new Fisher and Paykel front load washer to replace a Top Load F&P Washer which was the same age as the dryer mentioned previously and also still working perfectly. At 86 years of age I felt I needed to update to enjoy modern technology. Incidentally in my review of the Washer the text got away from me and I mistakenly rated it 3 stars when I intended making it a 5 Star rating. Incredible machinery and would not use anything else in the laundry. F&P you are the best!

The drum capacity is huge, drying large items with ease. Not too bad power wise. We haven’t used the clothes line since purchasing.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Valda from Take the guess work out [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My last F&P drier was over 30 years old so the new drier was a big step up. I love how you can push a button and it does everything automatically. There is one issue that I have and that is that bedsheets are not properly dry when the machine has stopped ( I have to use a drier for sheets to prevent pollen getting on them if dried outdoors). They seem to get very tangled. If I remember, I pause the drying after about half an hour, untangle the sheets and restart the drying and problem solved.

Our previous dryer (also Fisher Paykel) had a 4 kilogram capacity, this, almost double; the features impressive; I LOVE the cooling function -- a great purchase I should have made when we moved to this house -- transporting the old dryer which was great, but THIS? Vastly improved. We have a Fisher Paykel top loading washing machine (dating to the halcyon days when made in New Zealand and irreplaceable) this wonderful dryer completes our laundry collection. Extremely happy with this purchase. Thank you FP!

What is the difference between this one and the series 5?

Thanks for your question. These two models are indeed similar. The main difference in the Series 7 model is the SmartTouch control dial which provides an elevated user experience through ease of navigation through the cycles using the dial. Also, the cycles maybe the same in naming convention but they are 'optimised' further in the Series 7 model. Trust this helps!
