Good enough for price
Purchased same refrigerator 4 years ago for $466. It has been a relatively good refrigerator, just used for drinks so isn't opened a lot, noticed this morning it has a pool of water under it and getting warmer, so we are dropping it off at the dump on the way to buying a new one. Not worth repairing or getting someone to look at it, those customer care warranty plans are also a waste of money as the products are designed to last just past the warranty period. Not sure where these are made but the old Kelvinator in our kitchen will not die - over 15 years old. It has seen out two Hisenses and a F&P of same size now and it is likely to see out the next.

Do not recommend
Not exactly cheap Freezes inside and out on wall of fridge Even the piping has large frozen amounts of ice No matter the degree level Water all over floor everyday The technician who could only speak very small english says this is normal yet he places a cut empty mineral water bottle as a cup inside under back zip ties the pipes and expects us to see this as normal Says the temp must always be on level 3 THIS IS NOT NORMAL

Appalling
One year on top shelf is up to 7 degrees, bottom shelf is freezing everything. Ice inside on rear wall one day, wet the next. NEVER keeps a constant temperature. Had compressor changed after first 2 weeks. Persisted with it but will never buy another hisense product. When I recently asked a salesperson if there had been issues with this brand he was very cagey and I said "there's your answer!" Avoid this fridge. Most other reviews are the same.

Impossible to control temperature
I have had this fridge for five months. I have tried to get the fridge to stay between 0 and 4 degrees C for safe storage of food.
There are seven settings on the thermostat control knob. You have to move to 5 to get the fridge below 4 C and a very minor movement above 5 causes the fridge to be too cold - often below 0 C. At that setting the back panel freezes up and some food that is close to the panel or at the bottom of the fridge freezes. I have had to leave it being too cold or otherwise if I turn it to warmer food will spoil.
I have had two thermostats put in under warranty and each time the result is the same.
I have been taking the temperature using a thermometer in a glass of water.
I cannot recommend this fridge.
