Rated 5 out of 5 by from Beach girl I have had a life proof case for 10 years plus for each new phone. Several times they have replaced the switch to silent my IPhones at NO CHARGE. My new case for my iPhone 12 Pro has no issues. The Face ID works well. The screen scrolls and feels smooth with my finger. So far is drop proof protected. Many times I dropped my older phones and the case was protective. This new case felt thinner but once you put it on the phone it feels very strong and protective. I am on the water and Beach a lot so o like the water protection too. Yes I would recommend this case for those that want price of mind there phone is protected. ( screen too).

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Protective Screen Does Not Function Well I’ve owned Lifeproof cases from my iPhone 4, till my new iPhone 12 pro. This is the only one I’ve ever been disappointed in. The clear protective covered expanded out, away from the phone screen. It is as if there is compressed air inside the case pushing it away, almost preventing me from texting our touching my screen. I have to press much harder than I need to, in order to make my phone work. Furthermore, the case prevents my phone from using facial recognition 100% of the time. I initially though it might be because it’s smudged, so I cleaned and wiped the case and camera, but it does not work. My phone recognizes my face only without the face on.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from The Face ID does not work properly The face ID does not work all of the time. It is very intermittent. I have not had this issue with any of my other Lifeproof Fre cases from previous generation phones. I noticed the front screen on the case has little small dots on the front. Maybe it is made out of different material compared to previous versions? I'm not sure but this may be affecting the Face ID. I attempted to reset my Face ID but it doesn't even recognize my face. Hopefully there is a fix for this issue but I'm not satisfied with having to put my passcode in almost everytime or staring at my phone screen because it has a delay before it unlocks.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from The new FRE case is low quality I can see that life proof has definitely tried to cut corners and save money. Which is sad because this case just doesn’t feel as solid as previous cases in the past and is a little more flimsy. I’d definitely search for a different product. I’ll probably get one of their lighter cases and use a screen protector at this point. Such a shame because I’m an avid outdoorsmans and photographer and I need my tech to be protected while I’m in remote and secluded locations. Please take this feedback and use it. This is not me hating on the product only an honest review. You guys have always treated me great in terms of customer service whenever I have damaged a case in the past.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from LIfeproof Fre Case for iPhone 12 Pro I have been buying this case for my previous iPhone 7 for at least 3 years, and now my iPhone 12 Pro. I will not buy another type of case! As a fisheries and wildlife technician, it is imperative that I have a waterproof case, because my phone constantly gets wet and submerged. It also allows me to take AWESOME underwater footage of the fish we work with. Additionally, I drop my phone on a regular basis and put it through the ringer. This case as consistently protected my phone on all aspects - screen, body, and cameras. I usually go through one case a year, I replace as the waterproofing/integrity wears off. This case is a NECESSITY for my occupation. THANK YOU LIFEPROOF!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Initial I pre-ordered the fre case for the 12 pro since i was hoping to have the case when the phone was released, but i realize the company needed the phone for testing the waterproof case. I installed it on my phone and for some reason Face ID would not work. I searched the apple community and found that there were two plastic or rubber nubs by the screen side camera. Once i removed those everything worked fine. I’ve historically used fre cases on my phones because the case is ____ near bullet proof. I just would have liked to not have to worry about figuring out why some features didn’t work. Also more colors! Even if it’s just the black and lime green like previous generations.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from WORST CASE EVER! Quite possibly the worst phone case I’ve ever purchased and would not recommend to anyone. First off the cover on the front of the screen makes typing and other uses of the screen much more difficult as it becomes very unresponsive with the cover. Secondly, the piece that covers the camera lenses scratches after having it for about two weeks and now all pictures turn out super blurry.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Foggy Pictures The camera lens cover scratches so easy & then pictures look foggy. In September I received my replacement & it is already so scratched! It only lasted 2 months this time! Last one lasted about 5 months! Now to file another claim!!!!!
