Rated 5 out of 5 by from BVF404W Vertical Freezer I bought this freezer to replace one that was 13 years old. This one is so much easier to use with the choice of shelves, small and large drawers to suit everything you need. It reached operating temperature vey fast and maintains that temp easily, as shown by the digital thermometer on the door. There is no problem opening the door thanks to the lever type action of the handle. I contrast my old one used to have to be wrenched open, and if I needed to get into it too soon I couldn't open the door as it had sealed totally. Love this unit, even though I have only had it a few weeks. Thanks Beko for another great piece of equipment.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Top Rated 5 Stars This was a new to NZ freezer in this size but decided on getting the freezer based on other excellent reviews from the UK and so far have not been disappointed. The freezer is great both in size but also in features, the drawers make finding things so easy. Freezer makes hardly any noise although it is in our garage so it's away from our general living space. Our first Beko and won't be the last based on this product, very reasonably priced for the benefits and features offered compared to others.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Pleasantly Surprised We were looking for an upright freezer, noticed the high review ratings for the Beko BVF404W, and took the plunge having never owned a Beko product before. We’ve had our Beko for a month now and the family is very happy with it. Good quality build, quiet operation, easy sliding drawers, decent light inside, useful controls and display on the door. We really like the door handle which has a lever motion making it easy to open and seals it shut when closed. Also good that it beeps if you leave (or forget) the door open too long. To top it off the extended warranty by Beko provides some peace of mind.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from We are impressed with our Beko Vertical Freezer We love our new vertical freezers' space saving ability by not using up floor space. There is plenty of room inside and more drawers than any other vertical freezer we could find. So we can have a gluten free/dairy drawer which is handy to keep those things separate whilst accessable. If you leave the door open for too long it will give you a gentle reminder with a flashing light and sound. 2 slim extra shelves on the inside of the door for those little things you want to freeze like a pouch of jus or that last frozen iceblock are an added touch so those small things don't get lost.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from BVF404W Upright Freezer Review We recently purchased a BEKO BVF404W Upright Freezer, it is one of, if not the largest household unit on the market currently. We live rurally so having a large freezer space to accommodate bulk buys is a must. The layout of 3/4 pull out drawers and 2 shelves and some small door storage is great, we never lose items like you would in the bottom of a deep-freeze unit. The energy saving nature of the operation is great, on its most eco-friendly energy setting, goods are still frozen in a timely manner. Many friends and family that visit are impressed with the unit.

Very quiet, has a very useful light, I don’t have to turn on the kitchen light to look for items, and it blinks to indicate door should be closed. The pockets on door are handy for small items like ice cream bars, saving space and ease of access. Handle pries open the door, so no more struggle with re-opening the door immediately after closing it. Best part is the energy consumption. Sceptical of this brand initially, but it has proven to be on par with the big brands, and at a reasonable price. Family is enjoying the new freezer. Very pleased with product.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from My review of the BVF404W living off grid. We bought the BVF404W as we were about to cull a beast for freezer. We are off grid on a 10KW solar system and needed to keep this in mind. We already have a family hub French door fridge freezer. 95% of our beast once butchered and packed fitted easily into the BVF404W keeping the draws inside. If we had removed the draws and just used shelves we would have fitted the whole beast but put the 30kg of sausages in the family hub freezer as we had the room. The fast freezing function was incredibly efficient. Only took 48 hrs to freeze a whole beast. Super quiet and with the built in inverter system the power has very little effect on our overnight battery usage. Very impressive and very happy with my choice of freezer. Would recommend highly

Rated 4 out of 5 by from good configuration Overall the freezer is good. However the instructions that come with the freezer are not complete or in one case wrong. There was no way to install the plastic wedges that are used to create distance for air circulation between the freezer and the wall. There were no screws as described. Also there was a small ding in the freezer when it arrived. As we had been waiting for the freezer for a number of weeks after our old one broke, it was not worth contacting Beko about that. The knob on the top of the handle is loose. I should be able to push it back in, hopefully. The configuration of the drawers combined with the upper shelves is fantastic. Very handy to have the shelves. Can remove one if needing to freeze something tall, eg when decorating a tall cake.

Thanks for your question Geoff. According to the instructions, plastic wedges are added from the back of the unit to ensure adequate rear ventilation. An authorised service agent or qualified electrician/installer is required to ensure the unit is balanced and make sure setup is conducted according to manufacturer spacing and install requirements for airflow and humidity control. ^CO
