Hi there. The base comes unassembled, but if you put in the customer comments section in the online checkout that you need it assembled, an assembled one will be delivered to you. The base is an imported item. It is manufactured in China. We trust this helps with your query

Does this have one drawer on either side of the base?

Great question! The Diaz Queen 2 Drawer Base features two drawers. Positioned at the base, these drawers are crafted to offer additional storage space. They are mounted on wheels for convenient access and mobility. Hope this helps^RR

What is the thread size for attaching the bed head

Thanks for your question Greg. Headboard bolts are typically used with T nuts or Insert Screws to fasten bed headboards to bed bases. Available with either M8 (8mm) or 5/16 BSW threads. Have a chat with your local Harvey Norman Bedding team and they can help with specifics. ^CO
