Rated 5 out of 5 by from Nice Mod The Max Lens is great for field of view, stabilization, and 360-degree horizon leveling. Activate the Max Lense mode on the camera with the push of a button, and you are in for some fun. It might look a little pricey for what you get to hold in your hand, but the lens is a fun addition to the GoPro. Also, I bought the Hero 9 during the Black Friday deal, (2020), which comes with a one-year subscription. The sub. lets you get varying deals on accessories, and so I was able to save 30 dollars. A great, quality addition to the collection! Worth noting: The mod comes with a small silicone/plastic case for storage, as well as a GoPro branded lens cloth

The lens has no electronics in it, all of the new features are already on the camera; there's no reason they couldn't be enabled for the normal lens. The worst part about it is using the lens severely restricts what the GoPro can do. -You can't save presets, there's only one that you have to modify every time if you use different settings. -You can't do loop recording. -You can't use the higher framerates. -The resolution is cut in half. Even with the discount for having a subscription, it just isn't worth it for what this really is and for all of the limitations it brings with it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Hi end Hollywood production quality at a affordable price! I read on how this camera lens works and it’s just amazing on the amount of technology and advances in it it has! This max lens mod rivals 360 cameras. The stabilization with its horizon lock gives us the users super stable images and videos. I use my camera for downhill mountain biking and the footage I capture it’s breathtaking. I would definitely recommend this product to anybody who has social media, it doesn’t matter if you only want to have cool content for your IG page or great videos for your YouTube channel, this lens will give you that edge above other users that have plain cellphone footage.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Incredible Upgrade - GoPro needs to sell replacement lens caps The stabilization and horizon lock ability is absolutely unbelievable with this attached. It's so smooth you'd think it was on a gimbal. Super cool that you can lock the orientation of the image, and it will stay that way even if the camera rotates. Also like that it improves wide angle, making it great for pov shots. Only complaint is that the lens cap flew off while I was skiing, and now I can't get a replacement anywhere. Support even said they don't have any extras available, which I thought was very surprising. Hopeful that this changes, I would certainly like to protect this valuable lens when not in use. Overall, love the upgrade and love unlocking this amazing technology in the Hero 9.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Hace un excelente trabajo. Realizar un excelente trabajo de estabilización, super la expectativa. Lo único que realmente me molesta, es que Gopro no te permita usar el 100% de la calidad de la cámara con este lente. Solo puedes grabar en Video a 2,7k a 60 , en Secuencia MaxTime Warp 2,7k y en foto lo mismo. Gopro debería debería invertir más en el desarrollo software de sus productos, los cuales deberían actualizarse constantemente. Tienes un excelente hardware con un software que no evoluciona. Definitamente el producto es bueno y tiene una estabilización. Pero existen otros productos similares en hardware, con mucho mejor software. Me da pena, por que realmente soy un fan de los productos de gopro desde sus inicios.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great mod, with a minor drawback I use this for my mountain biking videos and I love how it keeps the horizon level, it makes the videos so much nicer to watch. However, two things about the lens you have to be careful of - It has to be very clean when you're shooting. Any finger prints or any dust on the lens creates some pretty noticeable imperfections in the video. And 2 - Because of how the lens sticks out, it is easy to scratch it. I've only used mine about 8-10 times on rides and I probably need to get a new one because there are these two very tiny scratches, but again, these show up in the video as blurry areas and create glaring streaks of light when the lens is pointed near the sun. I'll have to find some protective film for it.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Only one knock: the case should accommodate the protective lens as well I haven't captured any "keeper" footage with the lens yet, just played around with it; so far I'm impressed with the lens and how the camera behaves with it mounted. But the immediate thing I noticed is that the otherwise well thought out protective shell front and rear covers for the Max Lens Mod provide no solution for what to do with the protective lens you have to remove to mount this lens. These ought to provide a solution for storing that cover; just dropping that lens in a pocket loose along with the Max Lens Mod covers seems like the WRONG answer.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Nicht perfekt, aber gut Max Lens Mod ist eine super Sache. Macht beim MTB-Fahren super Aufnahmen. HorizonLock gefällt mir am besten. Es gibt nur eine Schwachstelle für mich: man kann die Belichtungskorrektur nicht mehr einstellen. Wenn ich also mit 24fps filme und die Verschlusszeit auf 1/48 stelle, dann ist das Bild einfach total überbelichtet. Es gibt auch keinen Filter den man aufsetzen könnte. Vielleicht kommt da ja noch irgendwann ein Softwarepaket, und man kann die Belichtungkorrektur manuell einstellen. Wenn nicht, dann eben nicht. Bis dahin würde ich 4 Sterne vergeben
