Sharpest lens I've ever owned
I bought this lens to pair with my Canon R6 mirrorless camera, primarily for bird photography. It was a great choice for me because of its light weight, I can carry it around all day without a problem. The images from this lens are outstandingly sharp & I appreciate that it is also weather sealed. By far the best lens I've ever owned. My only niggle is that if I want to add a 1.4 or 2x extender the lens won't fully retract back, which is inconvenient.

Loving this lens
Only had the lens a couple of weeks but what I’ve seen so far is excellent. Most of my lenses are f2.8 so I was worried how the f7.1 would perform at 500mm. I shouldn’t have worried. Took some photos of birds and the backgrounds are very nicely blown out.

Great lens for Sport, Nature and Planetary!
I have been amazed at the clarity of the RF 100-500mm lens! It is relatively light weight and I have been able to capture handheld photos of the moon, paired with my R7 camera, with amazing detail, and sporting photos that capture the action very well.

When I upgraded to mirrorless last year this lens was a must buy for me. I love that is isn’t super heavy and I’m able to use it for wildlife photography, helps me achieve the photos I want to take! Love it!

Amazing lens.
