Rated 5 out of 5 by from Dji 4K mini Great 4K drone. Easy to use. It’s a little annoying trying to format from the great 4K to instagram reels format the quality degrades. And not formatting it looks great quality but doesn’t fit the whole screen. Probably be good for YouTube or similar. It was on special and enjoy using it.

Did crash it on the first flight but it survived and was ok after replacing propellors. I would definitely get some extra just in case but the kit came with extra.

is the battery the same as the DJi 3 and can the DJI 3 remote work on this model...?

Great question Euan! No, DJI Mini 3 batteries and remotes are not compatible with the DJI Mini 4K. While they share the same basic physical design, the Mini 4K uses a more powerful battery. The Mini 4K also requires the DJI RC-N1C vs the Mini 3 which uses DJI RC-N1 or RC. ^CO

Do you need to have a particular phone to use the app? Would an iPhone 11 be too old?

Thanks for your question Sarah! The DJI Fly App requires iOS version 13.0 or later, with iPhone 11 or newer models recommended, while Android OS requires 7.0 or later, with most mainstream phones released after 2019 recommended. Hope this helps! ^CO

Are there any attachments for this particular model that can b3 used to drop a baited fishing line at sea?

Thanks for your question. The DJI Mini Drone cannot be used for fishing due to a very limited payload capacity. According to DJI, the Maximum take-off mass is 246g, including the battery and microSD card. Trust this helps clarify! ^CO
