Only downside is that the overlap over the top of edge of monitor or laptop screen is a little large, especially if the screen has thin bezels. Though of course this can always be worked around by using a spacing piece of some sort.

Can this be clipped on to monitor

Thanks for your question. It can't clip specifically, but is designed to sit on the edge and the frame of the webcam, rests against the frame of the monitor to keep the unit steady, at an ideal viewing angle. Hope this helps.
