So far, so good!
I have just installed this printer and found it quite easy to do. All up, it took just over an hour - slowest part was downloading the online firmware to my PC. I chose this model as I mainly want to use it for printing good quality photos and am delighted with my first attempt. Having the extra ink bottles makes a huge difference in the quality. I’m sure that with a bit of practice I will get better. Would recommend.

Superb prints once settings correct.
Does superb prints if all the settings are correct.
Printed album of about 100 photos as a gift, using a Mac.
- fussy about paper and will give bad results if settings / paper are not correct
- not clear if the printer’s settings control paper type or the computer’s.
- pro quality paper has to be fed through rear tray. Thick paper setting makes no difference.
I’d most likely make similar comments about any printer.

The only thing worse about this printer is the customer service. The printer is constantly glitching. The paper won’t load, it won’t connect to the internet etc. for a very expensive home printer it is absolute junk. I returned the product for servicing and they returned it a week later claiming to have identified no faults. It still doesn’t work…Epson then called to ask about my experience. I explained the issues that I was having.. they said “we are sad to hear that. But actually no they couldn’t help. “

Expensive but worth every cent.
I love the ET-8500 printer. It replaced my Canon inkjet and Brother laser printers and out performs both by miles. It is super fast printing documents and extremely quiet.
Scanning is also a breeze.
An added bonus is that it freed up space on my desk.

Epson Eco Tank ET-8500 All in One Ink Tank Printer
I was looking for a printer that would print high quality photos as the printer I was using did produce top quality photos but just before Christmas 2023 it decided to pack up and die! My computer technician palmed me off with a new printer that would give me the same quality. Suffice it to say it did not. I scoured the web to find a printer that would and this Epson Eco Tank ET8500 delivered my requirements perfectly. Very happy with this purchase, although very much on the expensive side.

Best printer I have had
So far I am pretty impressed with this printer. I wanted one that had a good photo print and good for the environment. It is quiet fast while printing. Just ran in a bit of trouble with very cheap photo paper. I also love that it automatically prints both sides.

Great printer. I bought it for printing photos. Amazing photos and so easy to fill tanks not cartridges. I wouldn't go back to the cartridge ones now. East to use with an app on yr phone.
