Rated 5 out of 5 by from Back to Brother reliability & ease of use My Brother MFC-J4440DW has been great (this is a delayed review because I wanted to wait until after I'd used it for a while). It prints quickly, with great output quality (docs only so far, I haven't had time to try printing pix on photo quality paper). Love the big ink wells. So far, no probs at all with dried ink or other problems I've experienced previously with other brand inkjet printers. And I love the auto doc-feed for scanning and copying. I've also customised the settings for scanning images and docs to suit my needs, including scanning at higher resolutions and also using the text-conversion when scanning docs straight to PDF. A great little printer.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great machine I was a bit concerned that i would have trouble setting printer up to WiFi, as I'm in my 60s, technology challenged and only internet I have is through phone/mobile hotspot. It was actually really easy! Instructions are easy to follow, print quality is great, even in photo mode. I'm sorting boxes of old photos so have been able to scan, photoshop where necessary and reprint, and am really happy with result. Only had one minor hiccough, ink got clogged after not using machine for 2 weeks, but again, Instructions were easy to follow and fixing it up was quicker and easier than previous clunky cartridge printers. Great machine

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very pleased with this printer (MFC-J4440DW) I bought this printer to replace the last Brother I have had for 10 years without a problem. It does all I need. Very fast printing. Easy to set up. I have it connected via USB to one computer and can print from my phone or my other PC via wi-fi. Scanning is easy and fast. Holds plenty of paper in the tray. Prints perfectly in colour. I mainly use black. My only setup problem is logging into the printer from my PC but I am sorting that out. Easy to see how much ink remains. The black supposedly prints over 2000 pages. So far I highly recommend this printer. I was going for a cheaper one but I'm glad I made this choice. This is my 4th Brother printer. Never had a problem.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect home office printer MFC-J14440DW is really great printer for Home Office environment. It consits of all necessary features and beyond, as a full colour printer with double sided printing, scanner and a fax machine. Printing is really fast. The connectivity is either by USB cable or with WiFi, both of which are very easily possible. Scanned images can be directly transferred to a USB at the printer itself, which is very useful. Ink consumption seems to be very economical too. It has ample paper capacity to last for a long period of usage. All in all it is almost the ultimate printer one can expect for home office.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best printer I've had The Brother MFC-J4440DW is the most user-friendly, efficient, and reliable home office printer I've ever had. Set up was straightforward thanks to the easy-to-follow instructions. The ink supply system is simple and easy to set up. The WI-FI connection works a treat. When I send print jobs from my MAC desktop, MacBook Pro laptop, or iPhone the printer responds immediately every time. And it is simple to scan documents and then send to any of my devices in whatever format is required TIF, JPEG, PDF, etc. The default print quality is fine for most jobs and is clearly the most economical option as far as ink is concerned. There are higher quality options also for important docs or presentations.

Having had a Brother machine until recently when updates were no longer available for the old machine, no problems with this machine only the updates, we decided to look for another and only checking the Brother range found this machine.As only part timers with the printer we found this so much of an improvement over the old machine. Two areas I will refer to are the speed of printing and the ability to print double sided are the my favourites. I recommend that you do your own homework and will be surprised if you do not go for this machine if it fits the zone you require.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent first impression It is too early to assess long-term reliability, but my first impression is very favourable. I decided on this model based on price, expected cost of ownership and the availability of an ethernet port. Savvy computer users recognize that the ideal way to connect a printer is via a LAN which people already have from their internet router--some competitors fail to recognize this. Would caution the buyer to use genuine cartridge replacements, due to the fact that non-OEM cartridge use MIGHT cause the printer to fail and it is likely that Brother would not honour a warranty claim in this event. I have read reviews of users experiencing this issue, even though I cannot verify this for myself, I deem them to be credible.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Brother Inkjet Multifunction Printer Having had a printer scanner for years that was compact and simple, I was looking for something similar. The brother inkjet seemed to be a good option. Having purchased I have had difficulty setting up wireless access (still haven't but haven't contacted Brother yet to sort this out). So hard to go for a wired option but didn't seem to have the correct cables, so had to use the one from the old printer. The printer and scanner were relatively easy to set up and seem to work well. I like the front display, haven't had to change ink yet so can't comment on that.
