Rated 2 out of 5 by from Great printer, horrible ink policy. I didn’t realize I have to use HP ink or else the printer wont print. It is a printer and it does it’s job, it’s my 3rd HP deskjet if that tells you anything. I will not sign up for the ink plan because I hardly print, and when I wear this printer out I will not buy HP again because of your ink rule. I will be watching because someone is going to file a class action lawsuit for the chip in your ink cartridges that will ruin the printer forever. Until I read that about the ink, I loved everything about HP, but now I am mad, sorry for the poor review, but you lost a loyal customer.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Does not print black and white Does not print in black and white. The black ink cartridge indicator shows full. The colour prints are faded because the black ink cartridge seems not working. I cannot return it back to the Harvey store for fixing because I do not have a car. I cannot take a bus because the printer is a bit heavy to carry and fragile, as I have to walk for at least 10 minutes carrying the printer to the nearest bus stop. I cannot take a taxi because it will cost me heaps of money, more expensive than the printer itself which had cost me $39 only. Better to throw it away in the rubbish bin and buy another brand-new printer from a different brand which should be reliable and functional.

The world needs a simple to turn on printer without needing an internet connection to the manufacturer to get it able to operate, just a plug and play unit with a usb connnection.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Total scam, do not buy Do not buy this scam printer. The box is misleading and implies that you can actually use the printer out of the box. This is blatantly false and misleading advertising. The cartridges it comes are for "set up" only and even then they dont have enough ink to actually allow the printer to set itself up. You will need to buy new cartridges straight away to finish the set up process. Just advertise what is in the box and what extras are needed to use the printer... Stop misleading your customers.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great printer and excellent HP+ cartridge supply Purchased just 4 weeks ago and very pleased with the wireless connectivity and the quality of the print. Enrolled in the HP+ cartridge supply and it appears to be a very good system already had the first replacement cartridges sent to me. The 3 month up to 700 pages a month trial period is working extremely well. Highly recommended.

Can you print from a USB memory stick or only via WiFi?

Hi Sarah, the printer cannot print directly from a USB memory stick. Its USB port is only for connecting the printer to a computer, and all actual printing must be done via that computer or over Wi‑Fi using the HP Smart app.

It doesn't print black

Thanks for your question. If you find the unit is not printing Black, it will attempt to make black using a combination of colours from the tri-colour cartridge. We would recommend monitoring your ink levels and replacing cartridges as necessary. If your Black is full on system checks, you may need to run a system clean, or take to your local store for assessment. ^CO

Can I connect this printer to an iPhone (IOS) without Wi-Fi. It is for a friend who only uses internet through her iphone.
