Creative, Sustainable, Perfect Family Printer
The HP Smart Tank 7005 is an absolutely innovative and a highly sustainable printer. Very easy to set up the first time, it has a large paper storage tray and the ink levels show on the outside very clearly which is great to know when you need a refill. Setting up the printer was a breeze with the HP Smart app giving step by step directions including images and it made the process really smooth. The digital screen is tiny for a new age printer but the amount of features packed in the machine far outweigh this, coupled with almost all functionalities available on the app , this is a perfect printer for a family with adults who are working from home and kids that have printing needs to support with school work and craft activities . I have thoroughly enjoyed owning this printer and using it despite not being technically savvy myself it’s been very smooth to set up and start using the features. It’s a powerful printer that doesn’t feel noisy and prints at a great speed. The feature that stood out for me was the life of the ink tank and not needing to buy expensive cartridges over n over again. Not making old cartridges go to landfill and instead using small plastic bottles that give a long life are an excellent innovation. I strongly recommend this printer to all families as a powerhouse of a machine

Amazing all-in-one printer!
We own a small business and were looking for a multifunction printer with a large ink and paper capacity. The HP Smart Tank 7005 seemed like a perfect fit for our home and after using the product for a month, we are very happy with our purchase.
The print quality is great and does both black and white as well as colour printing. Given it is uses tanks for the ink, the ink tanks last much longer than our previous ink cartridge printer. The printer comes included with enough ink to last 2 years which is great. And the mess-free tank refilling system was easy to use.
A very important feature for us was to have wireless printing, which this printer does with ease. Setup and connecting to the home wi-fi was very simple, and with the mobile app, we can print documents straight from our phone to the printer no matter where we are in the house.
The automatic double-sided printing is also convenient as it saves paper, and the large paper capacity means we won’t need to replace paper as often.
The print quality of the colour printing is fantastic for school and creative projects, not to mention the scanning quality is very good for signed documents.
If you are looking for an easy-to-use printer for home or small office use, with a large ink and paper capacity, then I highly recommend the HP Smart Tank 7005 All-in-One Printer.

Professional Grade Printer
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The HP Smart Tank Printer is built very well and looks great! It was so easy filling the ink tanks with the spill proof ink bottles. I have an older computer and no WIFI so I went to the website to be directed on the installation of the printer and the directions were easy to understand and the installation was super easy. I like how you can see the ink levels on the front of the printer and so far, after doing a ton of printing, the ink levels have barely moved. If I could make one recommendation, it would be very helpful if there was an slot in the rear for printing as well as my previous printer had one that I left set for printing envelopes so I didn't have to constantly change the paper drawer dimensions. I received this product at a discount in exchange for my honest opinion. Thank you HP

Great Family Printer
Unpacking my HP Smart Tank 7005 printer, the first thought was that it was compact and light to move around the home if needed. The initial set up of the printer was very quick and trouble-free with great step-by-step instructions. It was quick and easy to fill the ink compartments and the mess-free tank refilling system was very good. HP says the printer comes with roughly two years’ worth of ink so no need to worry about that for a while, which is great. What I loved was the super easy app setup, it was straightforward to set up the printer to our Wi-Fi network using the App. Using the App to connect all the household devices, (computer, mobiles, and tablets) was seamless. The printer comes with a range of good functions that you would get with a larger printer. I loved the privacy pickup which allows printing to be delayed till I am there to pick it up. Another great feature was to be able to print double sided I tested the standard functions, colour printing, and copying which produced high quality documents. I have not yet scanned a document yet. Printing photos straight from my mobile phone using the App was so easy. My school/ college going kids find it convenient to print their study material and activities with a click from their devices and have not heard any complaints from them like I would with my previous printer. If you are looking for a great family printer for your home or small office that is low-cost and high-volume printing you can’t go wrong with HP Smart Tank 7005 All-in-One Printer.

Great all in one printer, good quality machine.
The HP 7005 printer is easy to set up, includes a set up booklet, instructions with a QR code to follow online instructions complete with images. The online instructions were easy to follow.
Ink is easy to fill. No leakage when filling them up.
Connects Wirelessly, which was easly to set up.
I tested photo printing from my mobile phone. I need to fine tune this as my attempts on normal copy paper (all auto settings) printed the image larger than it showed on the print screen and cut off part of the image.
Printing on photo paper it was a lot better. I put settings to “best” and changed the paper settings.
Printing from phone is simple using the downloaded app and the plug in for my Android. I had one issue with this. When I tried to cancel a print, it wouldn't allow any further printing until I had closed the app, turned the machine off and on again.
Quick to print, it took about 30 seconds to print a standard page, took approx. 2 mins to print on best quality on photo paper. It is quieter than my old printer.
I printed documents from my email directly from my mobile perfectly. It is so simple and timesaving. I had to download each attachment from my emails to be able to print them.
I used the copy feature is easily. For double sided copying you reload the paper back into the paper tray for the 2nd side.
No auto feeder for multiple paper scanning. I had to manually do each page.
It has a large paper tray that holds up to 100 sheets.
The HP 7005 is a good quality easy to use printer.

Economical and Awesome

Though a little noise but I am sure I will get used to it. I love the idea of not using cartridges. It’s much more economical for me. Haven’t had time to get into scans. Good printer, bad software
The printer prints really fast, but it keeps going offline and requires a power cycle to bring it back, so using it is really frustrating - you never quite know if it will print, or if you will have to jump through hoops to get it to print.

No more Rocking!
The printer arrived well-packaged and once out of the box, easy to set up. I like that the ink tank capacity can be seen on the front of the printer unit, but I don't like that I can't see how much paper is left because of the paper tray is enclosed and slides into the front of the printer. The printer doesn't "rock" like my old HP did and it's much faster at printing...both of which are big plusses!

I was in need of a new printer and this one is perfect! I have 2 children, one being school age, as well as my own digital invitation business, meaning I regularly print for quality control. This printer works fast, quietly and prints to a high quality. I love the fact that it has so much ink, so I’m not wasting money refilling as I had to do with my previous printer. Great for remote printing!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It is my first time setting a brand new internet All-in-One Printer. I would like to say how convenient the whole process was! I didn't even look at the manual, I just downloaded the app on my phone and followed the instructions there. Basically the thing you need to do is to 1)take out the card box inside the machine and 2) add the inks that come with this printer, 3) install the printhead.
I literally just spent 10 minutes to get my first print from unboxing the printer.
The HP app is so easy to navigate and can print anything from your phone, where it has a document scanning function inside the app, that makes it even convenient! And you can choose if you want it printed in double-sided or color/black, just in the printing preview page.
The printer can also do scanner/coppier as well! The resolution quality of the copy is fantastic!

Finally success
I am long term HP customer. I was sent a printer HP Smart Tank 7005 All-in-One Printer which was meant to be a HP9130e. The 9130e finally arrived. There was lengthy wait bfore I received refund for the
HP Smart Tank 7005 All-in-One Printer. Nearly a month to pick up and of course I had already paid for the HP9130e. Instant ink has begun. All rather frustrating but all seems ok now.

Small printer, Big functions
My first thoughts of the HP Smart Tank 7005 printer was that it was a nice size for home use and light enough that I could move it around the home if needed.
The set up of the printer was very quick and trouble-free with great step by step (including pictures) instructions. No need to search and watch any instructional videos.
It was quick and clean to fill the ink compartments with no messy accidents, all fingers spotless! It is great that the printer comes with roughly two years worth of ink so no need to worry about that for a while.
The ‘Set Up’ App was informative and easy to work through. It was straightforward to set up the printer to our wifi network using the App. Again, using the App, connecting all the household devices, (computer, mobiles and tablets) was unproblematic.
The printer comes with all the functions that I would expect on a larger printer. Of particular interest was the Privacy Pickup, allowing printing to be delayed till I am at the computer. The other very useful function for me was being able to print double sided items like credit cards or driver licences. The normal process is print one side, turn over card, feed the page back in so you have both sides on the one page, with this printer it does it all for you.
I tested the standard functions, colour printing, photo printing, copying and scanning - all were easier to do and produced high quality documents. Printing photos straight from my mobile phone for, using the App, made it so easy.
The printer is so quiet that when I first printed from my computer ,in the next room, I hit print a couple of times because I could not hear it printing.
I have two issues that do not impinge of the actual function of the printer: I am a little on the short side and I have placed the printer on top of a cabinet so it would be handy for me to have a display unit that could be tilted so I can read it easier and the other issue is it would be nice to have back lights on all of the buttons to make them easier to read.
