Rated 4 out of 5 by from Best option out there [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have an old Samsung that I've had over 7 years, it was gradually slowing down. I've been anxiously awaiting this new one. Wish it came in a smaller size , but I picked the 11 inch, since it's the smallest. It's not too big, and it's super light. The aspect is a little messed on some apps, I think it prefers to be landscape. All my apps easily translated from the old one. I like the pen, but I fear I'll lose it. It's only a magnet holding it on, strong, but still just a magnet. I wish it snapped in somehow. Time will tell. I've only had for a few days, and it's great so far.

Yes this looks and feels like the same tablet in my hands. However, that changes as soon as you turn it on and get it setup. it is much faster that the S8 and the screen is better. Brighter, more vibrant colors and better contrast. The speakers are slightly better also. I also appreciate the in-screen fingerprint reader vs the power button fingerprint reader on the S8. This was well worth the upgrade. the S9 is on par with the S9+ and S9 Ultra, unlike the S8 which was slightly behind the S8+/Ultra.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best 11-inch tablet for Android [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This device is wonderful! speedy, lightweight, and the S9 series fixed my biggest issue with the S8 by including the OLED screen on the 11-inch model. So much easier to read at night thanks to this screen, plus the in-display fingerprint sensor is so much nicer to use than the S8's sensor on the power button. The battery life has been fantastic, with quick charging topping it up fast. Been playing some games and emulators on this device, and it is very fast at handling whatever you want to throw at it. The device is also gorgeous in the new Beige color, and the fact you can still add a microSD card for additional storage means S9 much, thanks for keeping this around Samsung.

Overtime, I began using it for streaming, gaming and video calls. At work, I am able to capture notes with the stylus, in real time. I use the write-to-text function and seldomly are there typos...making sharing notes an easy effort. The stylus and drawing capabilities are seemless. I can create multi-dimension images and highlight changes for my team. Lastly, I take it on trios with me to stream movies and shows. There are little instances of lag and the image is GREAT. It's like a potable TV. Everyone who has watched a movie on it now wants one.

It can literally double as a laptop (just buy the keyboard). I've been using it for almost a month now, both for work and play. All of my colleagues have been impressed on the multitasking features it can handle and all other features it has to offer. Trying to convince them to get one as well for work since it maximizes productivity and more!

If it wasn't for the free storage upgrade, I probably would've waited on buying a new tablet. I'm glad I didn't. I primarily use my tablet for reading. At first, I thought the bigger screen would be a hindrance to hold and at the same time. Not only does the screen size make it easier to read comics in portrait mode. It's so light that holding the tablet in landscape mode is a breeze too. 10/10 would recommend.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Android tablet for digital artists [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I upgraded from a S6 Lite, which I enjoyed a lot for digital art with the S Pen. I wasn't sure if it would be worth upgrading to the S9, but I'm happy to say that the S9 definitely provides an improved experience for drawing. The S9, while only slightly bigger than the S6 Lite physically, feels bigger when drawing. The faster processor and bigger memory eliminated all the quirkiness I experienced with Infinite Painter on the S6 Lite. The only minus is that the batter life on the S9 doesn't feel as long as the S6 Lite to me, but that's a very minor minus against all the areas in which the S9 improves. The S9 is clearly the best tablet available for digital artists with a preference for the Android platform.
