Rated 4 out of 5 by from Way better than the Vivofit 4 I had a Vivofit 4 that was abysmal. Didn't even have it a year. I got the Vivosmart 5 after a lot of research. I like the ease of the Vivosmart 5 and the fact that you don't have to purchase a subscription to use some of the features. I really like the sleep tracking. I get a lot more information than before and the activity settings are much better. I didn't find using the owner's manual helpful in editing which activity widgets I had on my Vivosmart 5. I found a video on Youtube that explained how to do this. Hence the reason I gave a 4 instead of 5 star rating. Overall, I think it's a very good tracking device that's easy to use.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good device I was ready for an update to my Vivofit. I bought my first one in August of 2014 and have upgraded twice. It's been a very reliable device and I enjoy the new features when I get a new device. My eyes are a lot older now and the digits are a little smaller, but I am doing okay with that. I'm not as happy with the charging capacity as it seems I have to plug it in every other day. My original had a regular battery which I missed when I had to upgrade. My Vivosmart 3 and 4 seemed to hold a charge longer than the new one. I am still a fan and advertise the company to all my friends who are in need of a fitness tracker. Keep up the good work.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Decent overall I find my watch most useful in tracking my daily movement, and I like the reminders to get up and move. But I really question the accuracy sometimes. For example, it will tell me I'm "stressed" when I actually feel very calm. And the sleep tracking is problematic. It consistently gives me low scores and tells me I get very little deep sleep. While I do wake up at night, I usually end up with enough sleep and mostly feel good the next day. So I wonder if the stats could be right. I may stop wearing it at night. Other than that, I especially like the feature that allows me to turn the Bluetooth on and off, which is why I bought this watch.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from ok features My husband and I (both of us on the same day) bought this watch. My husband's watch needs to be charged every day (mine is not). Is the battery weak already? Should he get a replacement watch? Our watches can be charged only by connecting to the cell phone and so it is very slow. Can we get charger that connects via USB (to wall)? We both have problems in understanding the settings. For example, we need to turn off the wrist feature that lights up at night and not all the time. I would like to get a weekly report of steps, heartbeat and sleep data. The downloaded file is in .fit file type and I cannot open. I want the downloads to be in CSV format.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Forward Progress! Bigger all around then the VivoSmart 4. The connector is the same as the MUCH more rugged Garmin Fenix watches; a much better option for on-the-go use. Similar non-replaceable wristband but different material and wider (hopefully this will bring more longevity compared to narrower VivoSmart4 band). Display is bigger, thus easier to read without rotating 90 degrees. Sleep data is not available until AFTER "getting up for the day" (No nighttime peeking to see how things have progressed). I have been a Garmin user since the early AA battery days, every generation is a significant improvement from the previous; this 4-to-5 version update is no exception.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Avoid, this product I bought this a month ago and it no longer receives any support; this would have been good to know before I bought it (on their recommendation, even though they must have known then that it didn't receive support when they recommended it) If you want to track anything you need your phone for the GPS. If you are using your phone to provide music while you ride then you have to choose, one or the other. I choose music. Another "feature" would be a symbol of a rising sun that covers the time so you can't read the time. Did I mention the annoying prompts? With your name? Please send my Vivosport back and I will duct tape it to my wrist and get better results.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fantastic fitness tracker I bought this about a month ago, and so far it's been wonderful! I wanted something simple that would track my fitness but wasn't shaped like a watch, and that's exactly what this is! The user interface is simple and straightforward, same goes for the app connection. The one downside is that the quick overview of whichever two indicators you choose to see at the bottom of the time display often gets bumped and changes. You can easily thumb through to get your desired overview back on the main watch face, but it would be nice if they had a lock feature. So far I haven't found one! But overall this a five star fitness tracker!

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Device good. App&Manual awful. Pay service worse I’ve had a Vivofit over a year and vivoactive over six months. The sensors work fine. Battery life is good. Customizing displays is difficult/impossible to achieve granularity of data. I don’t use this for pretty pictures. Manual on line useless as is the advice displayed on the watch. “Listen to your body” No I want data from my device and the software. The app is hard to use. Related features are buried in different categories. The paid service offered no more useful ways to correlate and compare data. The phone help is always pleasant. They have different degrees of experience so sometimes getting a resolution takes time.
