Rated 5 out of 5 by from Insane watch The watch is unbelievable! As someone who has been an Apple Watch user for years, I finally made the jump to a Garmin watch and have never looked back. As an athlete that runs, cycles, swims, hikes etc. It was crucial that I had a reliable piece of equipment that is with me at all times. I could honestly talk for days about all of the features this watch offers that I absolutely love! But I will try to keep it short and just add that the battery life is game changer as well has having a super bright LED light on you at all times. If you are thinking about picking this watch up do it! It has been one of my best investments that I have made.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fenix Addict I bought my first Garmin watch, a Forerunner 205, about 20 years ago. I lost my way and replaced it with an iPhone to track my fitness. I made it back to Garmin with a Fenix 5, then upgraded to a 7X, and now this. The AMOLED Display is bright and easy to read, but it wish it was always on. This is the only complaint I could come up with. It lights up with a touch, push of a button, or usually a gesture. It would just be nice to see the time with a glance. The GPS is great, altimeter works great, heart rate from the wrist is extremely accurate for me, and the activity tracking and data logging in Garmin Connect is awesome.

The battery life of the AMOLED is still the same for me as when i used the solar display (27-29 days) But the bright colorful display and smooth operation of the touch screen is hard to beat. If you are looking fo a smartwatch that will meet all of your needs then this is the watch for you. It truly is worth the price!!

But the software and especially the watch faces available are below expectations. The smartwatch competition is great and the price tag of this watch is so high. It’s the most expensive smartwatch in the market. I should be able to choose the watch face I want and adjust it the way I want! I also had the Epix Gen 2. It had some nice watch faces but these are not available on fenix! A Garmin watches faces should be available and we should be given the option to use them and adjust them. The ones available are ok impossible to adjust like the ones that come with the watch!!! Garmin needs to improve this urgently!!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Looks good but it’s glitchy Got it on 1/14/2026 opened it up put on charger. All excited about this watch. Came home did what it said downloaded the app scanned the watch. Took forever to pair. Tried to set up the ecg app said not enough information. Said my heart rate was like 175. Put it on and noticed it was always on the sun set/sun rise screen. Went to the gym looked at it and it was constantly going through different screens. So I have had it less than 12 hours and I am ready to send it back hopefully when I call garmin this morning they will help me with a fix. A lot of money for something that doesn’t work

Rated 5 out of 5 by from So Clean and Leaves no Stone unturned As a 6 foot four male I love this watch. It doesn’t feel too big for me. The features are super clean. I don’t feel like over informed. I actually like a lot of the information that it gives to me. I like the way that I’m able to customize it it does not feel too heavy on my wrist or big. I used the flashlight feature more than I thought I would especially the red one at night. I don’t like receiving texts on my watch so it was nice to be able to turn that off. I do like the Wallet feature. I like not having to go to my phone to get a very beautiful graph on where I am in my running and training so overall really great watch very happy to have made this purchase. This review was left with voice recorder.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Garmin Fenix 8 is a Great Companion Having been using a much less expensive yet highly functional athletic smart watch, I was extremely pleased with the light weight and user friendly interface of the Garmin Fenix 8. I have been using the watch now for around a month now and I find customizing watch faces and setting other shortcuts to be very intuitive. I am especially fond of the seamless communication of the watch with my Strava account. I didn't think I'd use the watch's flashlight as much as I do, but I typically use this over my iPhone's flashlight. It's definitely worth the steep price tag!
