Rated 1 out of 5 by from Expected more, disappointed Bought Garmin coming from Apple Watch, too complicated. Comes with a tiny thick instruction manual that you can’t read even if you wanted to, didn’t really think I would need to actually read it!!! Way too many steps just to do a simple workout, turn on lamp, check a message. Only positive is the battery but I don’t wear my watch to sleep in so what does it matter. Too many buttons on the sides that do to much! I should’ve just purchased another Apple.

It's been a great companion on long hikes as I don't ever have to worry if the battery will die out, instant glance I can see my pace, time, how far I've hiked, and my heart rate. It allows me to save the hike and eventually share it on my Garmin profile online. The battery lasts foreverrrrr. FINALLY, I don't have to charge it every night and I actually get to record my sleep.

It also helps me with my sleep habits, ox level, and steps. I use it for work. The flash light feature and compass pays for itself. I also like the buttons on it. All the usage is completed by the buttons and not using your fingers on a screen which create smug marks. Good job Garmin!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Just the upgrades I needed and not more I needed to update my old forerunner 935 since the GPS elevation gain tracking has been terrible for over a year, not matter what I did per YouTube and Garmin advice. All I really wanted was better GPS options and a good battery, and the instinct 3 was the answer. I didn't need more wiz & pang technology that I would use.. and I could get a color other than BLACK!!! (REI green model). love it!!!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Very Nice Smartwatch I bought this watch a few weeks ago to replace my Instinct camo. The Instinct 3 has a great battery life and I really like the flashlight. Only downside so far is that a few of my activities have been saved on the watch but for some reason they don't sync to Garmin connect. Otherwise I would give 5 stars. Anyway it's a great watch and I hope to enjoy it for the next few years until I upgrade.

I enjoy how light weight the unit is, it is the lightest watch I have had in years. I like not having a touchscreen for activations when I’m trying to sleep. It does all of the garmin things and has a personal trainer for weights. The battery life is very good.

The replacement works flawlessly and the weather data at a glance has been extremely useful for fishing. Battery lasts ridiculously long. Ease of customization is great. Can’t believe how much info is available at just a glance.

Even using the GPS it lasts as advertised. The amoled feature really makes it easy to read in any light. The light feature is very handy and I use it much more than I ever anticipated. Great watch!!

I’ve owned several expensive watches so far the Garmin Distinct 3 45 MM it does so much and it is so lightweight you don’t even know you have it on the battery. Life is great. The features is great and it connects with the iPhone and just seconds so far I give it to Garmin over everybody else, thank you, Garmin.

I have had zero issues out of it and I work with it on all day in a body shop. I would recommend anyone that’s rough on things, this watch is the one!

So crystal clear when i get any notifications on it! The battery life is also a great thing not having to charge for 2 weeks and i get lots of notifications every day!

I will say the band will wear out before the watch itself will so you could probably just swap that out for a new one when it gets worn out but honestly no complaints.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Sturdy and no frills So I’ve been without a smartwatch for over a year since my last one broke on me while at the gym. Missed tracking my workouts and seeing data on my workouts so I opted for this Garmin. Right off the bat it has provided some cool features like sleep optimization and coaching suggestions for better rest. My old watch would have to be charged almost daily and this one hasn’t been charged for over 5 days and going with heavy use. Now, it does take a bit of a learning curve to get used to the buttons over touchscreen.. there’s no frills to this watch just pure technical use and a sturdy design. It’s surprisingly light, great waterproofing which makes cleaning it super easy in the shower and I guess more hygienic in the long run. The torch feature is hands down the most jarringly useful difference when I don’t have my phone on me and I’m looking for things in the morning. Wish the screen was touch, but other than that this watch is amazing for those who just want a sport watch without the extra bells and whistles. Simple and effective!
