Love my new Garmin Vivoactive
This is my third Garmin Vivoactive. I believe I have been wearing them for 10-15 years; the first ones battery wouldn't last as long as I led after several years of triathlons and marathons and the second one quit tracking several things after I dropped it and cracked the crystal. The new one has many new features I like including it is quite light, tracks naps (which us old guys take from time to time), and the face is much more attractive. I don't know if there are other options for the face on this one because I like just the way it came out of the box. It works great and though I have had it for 2-3 weeks, I have only charged it once.

Nothing but trouble.
I bought this about a month ago and it’s been problematic since day one. It constantly freezes, turns off, and has been riddled with problems. When it doesn’t do those things it was good. I’ve exhausted all the things that garmin has told me to try and it still has the same problems. I’m not the only one experiencing these issues. Now the place that I have bought it from is dragging their feet and refusing to return it. So now I’m left with a watch that only works half the time. I’ve since bought the garmin forerunner 265 and it’s been leaps and bounds better than the vivoactive 6. I’m just so disappointed to be out of the cash that I paid for it.

Good fitness tracker
The watch is aesthetically pleasing. Super lightweight. An excellent option for some. I had just over two weeks with the watch, wearing it and training daily. After only one day I knew it wasn’t for
me. It lacks essential features for my lifestyle, no altimeter and it feels to delicate. I spent every day I had with it worried I was going to damage the bezel or glass. I returned the Vivoactive 6 for an Instinct 3 which I feel will be a more appropriate fit for my lifestyle and training regimen. The vivoactive 6 is a beautiful watch that IMO belongs with the yoga/aerobics crowd. Not for those who engage in heavy training and rugged outdoor activities.

Great Features but we lost a handy feature.
My Vivoactive 4 had a great feature under golf. It had a live screen telling the distance since the last impact. So I always knew how long I drove the ball. This was also handy to help locate an errant ball since i could go the direction of the ball and use the distance to reduce the search radius. It also helped give feedback on the impact of a swing change. I can't speak for the Vivoactive 5 but that feature was lost on the Vivoactive 6. There is a way to check the distance, but it is too cumbersome to actively use it on the golf course. All of the other changes that I've used have been nice and some real improvements.

Another great product from Garmin
My partner has been using this watch for a few weeks now and it has been awesome! They are an extremely active person just like myself and so we are always putting them to the test. Its a bit less rugged so I would keep this recommendation towards work that isn't going to be physically harsh on the device or towards people looking for a more stylish smart watch that is built for an active lifestyle. It has been a great watch so far and is easy enough to use. It looks really nice and does everything an active person would want it to do and more. The battery life is fantastic compared to apple, fitbit, or galaxy watches.

Great watch, but no voice to text
I'm loving this watch. I love the bright colors, the ability to change your watch face to your liking as well as colors within the face. The buttons on the side are a bit different than my previous Fitbit watch so that was a bit of an adjustment that I'm still getting used to.
The clarity of graphics is great. My amazon wish list items come up with great clarity on the screen.
My big disappointment is that there is no voice to text on this watch. One would think that would be a "normal" finding on any smart watch in 2025. Please fix this if possible!
Overall, very happy, just wish I would've seen that there was no microphone for voice to text before I purchased.

Sweet & Nice Vivoactive
I don’t have to be the first one to say that I’m an avid runner who has held run streaks for nearly 4 years at a time and I also run road & trail races up to the marathon distance. I also partake in yoga, lifting, and other cardio. All that to say that I can put a hurting on a watch. This is at least my fifth Garmin in 10 years. I chose the Vivoactive over the Forerunner for style. This Vivoactive does give me feedback about my runs and a daily digest with suggestions. The only disappointment so far is I don’t get any recorded miles when I use an indoor bike for spin class. Overall, it’s been a good 2 weeks, so far.
