HP has made sure no one else can supply ink for their printers via the "Chip" in the cartridge, essentially making a monopoly and therefore they can charge outrageous prices for the ink needed. DON'T buy HP products since they will assault your wallet with the consumable prices.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from OEM PRODUCT DOES NOT WORK Cyan Cartridge identified as "Foreign" and will not load. Needs to be returned and replaced. Fortunately for me I had more than one, because plotter would not operate until a working cartridge was installed and my business would have been dead-in-the-water. You can't make this crap up! Whose in charge over there, anyway?
