Rated 2 out of 5 by from I wanted to love it, but... …it just doesn’t work that well. The scent is great. But I wound up needing to reapply to get through the day and even then it didn’t work as well as my previous non-aluminum deodorant. I know there can be an adjustment period when switching from a with-aluminum deodorant but that was not the case for me, as I already had been using a different non-aluminum product for some time. If you sweat a lot (like me) or are very active it may just be that any non-aluminum product isn’t going to cut it for you. During the past week I went back to my previous with-aluminum deodorant, and what a huge, huge difference. I think I’m going to try Pit Boss next and take my chances with the aluminum.

As an active person, I don't always want to use antiperspirant when I'm cycling, running or working out ... we're meant to sweat! But, I also don't want to be that guy when I stop for a coffee on my way from the gym or after a run... this is where Pit CTRL shines. I've used Pit CTRL at the office, while working out, and everywhere in between... it's nice to have confidence that you won't offend in either setting and that you've got a natural option for odor control in your corner. To boot, I've never had any irritation to speak of.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from My New Daily DO When it comes to deodorants (DO), there are a few things I prioritize: aluminum-free, clean scent, no gel-like texture when applied, and that it actually works. Pit CTRL hits every mark here for me, and it is now my new daily deodorant! After I apply, I barely feel there is anything there, it has a clean yet energizing scent that I enjoy, and it keeps me from smelling myself throughout the entire day. I had used Cool CTRL in the past, and this took the pros from that DO and removed all the cons, and I'm super pleased with it. Keep up the great work Jack Black!

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Tried Pit CTRL for 2 Weeks and Very Disappointed I currently use a wide range of Jack Black products and most of them are of excellent quality and efficacy. I was intrigued by Pit CTRL, a deodorant that does not use aluminum chlorohydrate. However, after two weeks of using this product, my experience is that it is not effective as a deodorant. After showering in the morning and applying Pit CTRL, by 1:00 to 2:00 in the afternoon I have noticeable body odor. The antiperspirant aspect of the product is not bad. This product is simply not up to the high quality standards of Jack Black products.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Good Overall… Takes a few Applications to get used to it… I think the original Jack Black (Blue Packaging) Deodorant smells better than this one. The difference is that one has aluminum this one does not. It does glide smooth and the smell is clean. I feel the other Jack Black deodorant (Blue Packaging) is a bit heavier. This one is good but if Jack Black made a Deodorant and Antiperspirant with out Aluminum then that product would be 5 stars all day. Stick with the original scent or offer a Jack Black Reserve Anti-Perspirant ( Aluminum Free) scent that is similar to the Jack Black body spray and I will be soooooo happy as that spray is so good and would pair better with a deodorant scent similar to the cedar scent in that spray in my opinion. Over all a fan of all the Jack Black products so far!

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Incredible scent, but why do I still have B.O? Maybe someone can help me with this. Long time user of Pit Boss, but recently bought Pit Ctrl due to its healthier alternative. Smells fantastic, not overpowering, but still fresh. However, I have applied it for a few days now, (even on shaved armpits) and the fresh T shirt I threw on in the morning smells like B.O by late afternoon. It concerns me because I do believe in spending a Little extra cash for a Powerful quality Deodorant. Thanks! (I'm a dude Btw)

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Glad I made the switch! I had been thinking about making the switch to aluminum-free deodorant for a while and was really excited to see the Pit CTRL option! I'm a sucker for the Turbo scent. I was really nervous, because I know there is a detox period for your body to adjust to aluminum-free. But I used an antibacterial soap for the first few weeks and it made the Pit CTRL switch tso easy! Now that I'm using it regularly, it works perfectly for me. So glad I made the switch!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Highly irritating and non-functioning, does not represent the brand well. Doesn’t combat BO and burns your underarms. A review with negative stars would be more accurate. I love JB products and this was a HUGE disappointment. It does not work as a deodorant, and it irritated my underarms to the point of unbearable burning and itching. I can’t believe you still have this for sale when it doesn’t represent your brand’s commitment to quality. I’ll be going back to Tom’s of Maine and tossing this underarm burning torture stick you’re peddling.
