Rated 5 out of 5 by from Bad business decision to discontinue this product [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Laura Mercier has decided to discontinue this translucent pressed setting powder. This is the worst business decisions this company has ever made as this is their best product and they received awards for this product. They claim that "Real Flawless Luminous Perfecting Pressed Powder" is a replacement for this powder. It is not. The luminous powder is not comparable in any way and is an awful setting powder with glitter in it. Who are they marketing their products to? Little kids? This company has gone downhill in terms of their products.

I am a pressed powder person over a loose powder (prev holy grail was maybeline fit me) but this powder?!?! Has my skin looking absolutely flawless!!!It smooths my skin, sets my makeup, got rid of my smile lines AND even helped with transfer!!!No matter how much makeup i cake on it smooths it out and makes me look natural, smooth, and simply f l a w l e s s.I thought the medium deep would be too dark or too orange/red but it really isnt! Ima say anybody fenty 370+, Nars Cadiz (possibly)+, juvia’s place Ethiopia+ it will work for!Laura please get the shade in honey in pressed so I will only ever need these 2 powders for the rest of my life!!!

Please bring back the old package So I have used and loved this translucent pressed powder for a lot years but I recently went to repurchase and was not happy to see the new packaging and the new puff. The new package is so gigantic and obnoxious that I can only carry it in my large handbags which is super annoying because when I want to carry a smaller purse I can no longer bring my powder with me. Also for me I am not a fan of the new puff...I loved the old sponge that was included...it was so silky smooth and for me was the perfect on the go way to apply my powder. Another thing with the new gigantic packaging that I am not a fan of is having the puff in the separate compartment. Please bring back the old slimmer compact with sponge. I don't think I can repurchase unless the old packaging comes back.

I only use it in limited areas on my face and don't need the large format. The puff is also unnecessary since I use it with a brush over my concealer. It would be great if there were a smaller size that was easier to pack in a purse or take away, similar to the loose powder travel size.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best Setting Powder from Any Makeup Line Laura Mercier should focus on primarily making and marketing their translucent pressed setting powder. The formula, the power puff, and the fact that the powder is pressed makes this powder perfect for setting makeup and controlling shine. I've been using this product for over 10 years and I professionally model for makeup and skincare lines. At one point they decided they were going to discontinue their pressed powder and continue with the loose powder. This would have been a big mistake as their pressed powder is phenomenal and what actual models use and people who understand makeup use.Loose powders are awful to set makeup. Not sure how their loose powder even made it as an Allure pick, but I can imagine that it was because a bunch of novice makeup artists or influencers picked loose powder. I wish this company would stop taking tips from influencers who don't understand anything and will end up tanking their companies.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Don't like changes I am not a fan of the bulkier 2 part packaging, the puff or the darker tint. The old translucent was truly undetectable on my fair skin, now I can see it, and takes more time to blend. Also, I miss the sponge applicator, which was more precise. Still a nice powder all considered, but having used this one for over 15 years I am disappointed.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from So very disappointed. This has been my very favorite cosmetic product for years. Unfortunately, when they changed the packaging they changed the tint. It's supposed to be translucent but there is a slight tint that wasn't there before. Now I can't use it because my skin is very fair and the tint changes my complexion. Very very disappointing.
