Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome Concept! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My son received this toy a few days ago and could not wait to put it together! He is 7 years old and he did need parent help, but it was a lot of fun to build with him. The instructions were easy to understand and though a lot of pieces (which makes it a great value for the money if you use the piece per brick calculation) it worked up fairly fast. My son was very impressed with how large the Pikachu was; I was impressed that you can position it. It holds the position fairly well and you can manipulate it more than you would think that you could. Both my son and I are very happy with the item!

The set is amzaing and very detailed. I love that it can pose its arms, legs, tail, and ears. It really brings the figure life and allows for me and the kids to pose it and display it. Overall, the pieces come together and stick very firmly and the toy overall feels durable. Great toy to keep folks of all ages busy and entertained. I would have to say one of the only negatives is the pieces are not that easy to take apart once assembled. If you love Pokemon, if you really love Pikachu and if you love building, this is the toy for you!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Fun building set for your Pokémon fan! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I gave this toy to my nephew who is a big Pokémon fan. I have to admit it’s a pretty cool set and was impressed with the detail of the character! He really enjoyed it and liked the finished product but not being much of a builder he did end up needing some help from the parents to get it finished! He now has it proudly displayed in his room though and talks about it often! So although not giving him a ton of fun building it he enjoys it as a decoration in his room. I do think if you have a kiddo that enjoys mega or Legos this would be a big hit. Ultimately I’m happy he still enjoyed it!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Buildable jumbo Pikachu [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My nephew loves all things Pokemon, so I just knew he would enjoy building this jumbo Pikachu. There are over 600 pieces to this set, so it will be a time-consuming project that would be nice to put together during the summer months while school is out. Once you have built Pikachu, you can easily pose its legs, arms, tail, and ears to your liking. The instructions are easy to follow, and I didn't experience any missing pieces. The pieces seem to stick together firmly, and I feel that it is durable as well. Overall, this is a great project that will keep your child busy and keep their interest.

The toy really is best suited for ages 8+. My son is 6 and is quite capable of doing this type of building toy, but it is very difficult to get the pieces to stick together properly (I struggled with this myself). The instructions were hard to interpret at times, although we did manage in the end. The Pikachu definitely held my son's interest, but I was a bit disappointed that he couldn't build more of it on his own. That said, the Mega Construx Pikachu would make for a good parent-child activity.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Pokemon Jumbo Pikachu Review [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Our 7 year old son was super excited to receive the Jumbo Mega Construx Pikachu! Our son loves Pokemon and his favorite thing to do is build lego and mega construx sets. He really enjoyed putting together this Pikachu. It took some effort as it has 806 pieces but he was able to put it together mostly on his own. The instructions were clearly marked and well organized. He proudly displays it in his room and also takes it down to play with. It’s nice because it’s able to move in different positions which makes it more interesting to play with. Great set for any child that likes Pikachu and likes to build.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great gift for fans [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My kid was so excited when we recieved the box. We got right to work putting it together. Pluses: Instructions were easy to follow, bags of pieces clearly labeled, and a interest in the theme. Negatives: Lots of steps/pieces, took 3 hours to put completely put together, the very small pieces. My 11 year old lost interest about 50+ steps in (about 45 mins) but my older child helped me finish. But my 11 yr old was definitely back for the final completed product. Great project for kids with better attention span (lol), fans of building blocks and theme. Loved that it had motion and can be displayed different ways.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This set is amazing! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Our entire family was SO excited to see this jumbo Pikachu set! It was much bigger than we expected! It took about 4 hours for my husband and two sons to build. There are 806 pieces, but the pieces are separated into multiple small bags. This makes searching for pieces easier since the instructions tell you which bag of pieces to work on. We also figured out that it helps to have someone working on sorting the pieces of each bag into separate piles of like pieces. This helped to speed up the process when the instructions asked for multiple identical pieces at a time. Once put together, Pikachu looks super cute! We will be putting him on display in our office/playroom with some of the other Pokémon Mega Construx sets that we hope to buy soon! Another thing that we love about this Pikachu is that he is poseable. His ears, head, arms, feet, and tail all move, so there are tons of different poses you could have him do if you are hoping to have him displayed on a display shelf. Our boys also loved moving him around for pretend play after he was done being built! We definitely recommend getting this set and have already told many of our friends about it!
