He's not had the chance to wear them a lot yet but has said they are very comfortable and the sound is really good - listening to one of his favourite songs, he heard notesand tones that he'd not heard through other headphones so is very impressed. Says these are by far the best headphones he's ever had and if you've never had a decent pair, these will "blow you away". I think he likes them.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Review after 5 Years I have had these headphones for 5 years now and let me just say that they have been the best headphones I could have bought. I have used them for mainly gaming over the last 5 years but have used them for music as well and the audio is nowhere near any other headphones. I'm not exactly someone who pays attention to the audio of headphones but I remember when I first got these headphones, I noticed a very noticeable difference in sound quality. They are very comfortable on the ears and I am now looking into buying replacements for the earpads as they have finally started to show true wear and tear but that's to be expected when used for 5 years continuously. If this pair ever happens to give out, I will gladly but new ones from this company.

I've never used open back headphones but these are really incredible, listening to music, instruments are separated from each other in a way I didn't know I was missing. This may have opened up a rabbit hole of audio equipment upgrades.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from HD 599 SE Usually I use closed back ANCs which are great for outdoors but causes discomfort on longer usage. HD 599 SE is an open back headphone which provides both comfort and great audio experience. In short, I love them :-)

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Solid build, but very muddy sound out of the box. Solid built quality. Nice to have multiple cables. Very large ear cups, comfortable while wearing glasses for long periods. Fair bit more bass representation compared to competitors in the price range. Frequency response falls apart a bit at low levels. Needed some very serious EQ to get a flat frequency response. It is far too muddy out of the box. I attached the settings I needed to use to get a flat response, though each device will be different and I tend to monitor at very low levels.
