Purchased these 15 May 2025, and the ear piece is disintegrating and flaking off. I contacted Sony both via phone and email and they took days to reply and told me it’s expected wear and tear for headphones that are 3 months old (I work full time and used these to listen to podcasts after work).
I’ve never experienced an attitude of disengagement, and no accountability.
There is no 12 months warranty - they said it, there is an expectation for their products to fail early.
These were my first and my last Sony purchase.
My 8 year old pair of Sennheizers were a higher quality than these, even though Sony were more expensive!

Purchased as I was about to board a plane at the airport. I was looking for headphones that were over the ear and noise cancelling. I tried a number of different types on display, the salesman attempted to upsell me another brand, I really didn't see the difference in the sound, the selling point was it had a hard case. These do not come with a hard case to store afterwards. Overall I am happy with the sound, the level of noise cancelling was perfect for me, I didn't hear any of the 'plane noise'. I did get some kind of mark on them which has been a bit problematic to clean but doesn't affect how good they sound. Overall would recommend the headphones.

Headphones
I bought this 3 weeks ago. Am happy with the ease of just a few buttons. How I found the set up sheet that came with in fold because all in so many languages and small print, was cumbersome and frustration. There was no simple book of instructions of use. Went on line but was not clear.
Bottom line: I am happy with the produce and quality of sound but there could be a small book of instructions included as well as a more simplified clear set up sheet. Because the buttons are the same colour as the headphone to have them raised a little would make it easier to locate when headphone are on your head.

Not good
I bought these for my partner, thinking that they'd be similar in quality and function to the 1000 series headphones i bought about 7 years ago.
Sadly this was not the case, the noise cancelling is basically non-existent. This is made worse by the shape of the head-band, which makes it hard to fit the ear cups properly, and I feel like they're going to break if I look at them wrong. I should have read the reviews before buying them, but I trusted that Sony would provide a good product.
I'm really disappointed.

Best Headphones
I purchased this product in October. It is amazingly priced & has the best noise cancellation feature. It’s very comfortable & lightweight. For the price it cost it has the best performance and is very easy to use, set up & the app allows for the best sound control features ever. 10/10 all around!
