Rated 5 out of 5 by from Amazing product I got this a week ago and am super impressed it's sound is so good the bass and depth the speakers have put my Amazon echo to shame. Google assistant is also much better at understanding my accent and have not had a single word misunderstood unlike alexa who struggles to get what I'm saying. I love that I can cast to the screen and watch you tube or anything I want while I'm cooking in the kitchen it's the missing piece of my smart home puzzle it fitted in so easily and it hands down the best piece of smart tech I have ever owned. The only small fault I have was the camera is angled slightly high but that's a tiny thing for such an amazing product.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love it!!!!! I had a Lenovo Smart Display which was cool, but it was large, white with OK sound quality. I purchased the JBL Link View which is an amazing Smart screen speaker blends in better being black in my kitchen, is splash proof which is a huge plus for any kitchen and doesn’t take too much space in my opinion. The sound of course is much much better than the Lenovo model. This purchase will not disappoint you with its screen quality and sound.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Terrible purchase It's a great speaker. One of the best bluetooth speakers I've ever owned. However, for this price, you can go buy a much nicer sound system because this is the stupidest "smart" speaker in the entire lineup of every IoT device in the market. Does not connect to Home Group. Does not support "Continuation" voice feature. The Google Home software just seems to be so different and unintuitive from the other Google Homes I have in my house. One positive I will say about this product is that it's very tough because one time I got so frustrated with how dumb this speaker was I punched it straight in the screen, and it's still working perfectly fine.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Not for me What can I say about the JBL link view, well the first impression you get from the packaging is that you have purchased nothing special. I have to admit though it was easy to download the Google Home app and connect the link view. Unfortunately everything was downhill from there. I was unable to link my Smart TV or Smart Meter although I linked my Bluetooth speakers and phone I couldn’t get them to interact with the linkview. Overall I can’t see the point of the JBL Linkview as it doesn’t really do anything that I can already do with my phone hence I can’t recommend the JBL Linkview but then again you may be a lot more savvy with I.T. then I am.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great screen and the sound is amazing I have had many JBL products and I have never been disappointed. The Google Assistant from when you take it out of the box looks impressive. A very sleek design. The screen when turned on is very good with bright colours and it's very easy to set it up. I have used it to search YouTube and listen to music via spotify. I love the ability to stop, play back and turn up the volume just me telling it to do it. It comes with a camera and microphone built in, which can be switched off with a switch at the back. The sound with every JBL product I have had is superb and it's no different , playing music on the Google assistant is amazing. This product is worth every penny a must buy.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Stunning sound for a compact unit Was so excited to get this unit and try it. From unboxing the unit i could tell this is a solid built unit and very stylish that went with our contemporary style living room perfectly. So just plugged it in ready to set up, this is where i worried a little bit of how complicated it would be. Well i didnt have to worry at all, good user interface, installed google home on my phone, connected to wifi and BINGO. Every single command me, my partner and my 10 year old child threw at it, it recognised every single one. This resulted in some family battles for googles attention LOL. Started off with some music videos, well to say i was suprised is an understatement....the sound quality of this unit is amazing with a beautiful clear non distorting bassline. This unit has become our go to place to play music around the home. Picture quality on the screen is clear, i would have like a bigger screen but hey...its fine. Even enjoyed some of the cheesy jokes google shared with me. You can say good morning to google and set up a morning routine including, news, weather etc. I feel like i have only experienced a little bit of what this machine has to offer. Overall i cant pick fault with it at all. Love this machine and would recommend it to anyone out there.... Looking forward to use it when we host parties

It’s the first time I’ve properly used a Google product, as I usually use products from the dark side. But this is so easy to use, the google feature is so accurate. It displays exactly what you say. If you look at Other types of software similar to google assist, it doesn’t understand you as easy as this does. It’s like having your own musical servant. I also have it tell me my morning routine when I wake up, it’s puts my coffee on for me!!!!! I use this in the kitchen, it great when your in the middle of cooking or washing up because you don’t have to use your hands at all. Set up is a doddle and the interface is so user friendly. The sound quality is insane. You can see the built in subwoofer working on the back of the unit. The mid tones are smooth and high tones are crisp. Maybe this is the starting product to convert me over the the dark side???

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Lots of Potential Great sound and love that it has chromecast. i bought this after I had returned my amazon echo show due to its inability to use YouTube. I thought this would be great for my daughters to be able to watch videos through YouTube and it’s something that entertains while cooking. I was happily surprised when I found out it used Chromecast and that I could watch videos casted from my phone and such, but it is very limited. i cannot cast Netflix, which would be nice, I don’t sit in the kitchen long enough to start a movie. I have a subscription to DirecTV Now and I can cast recorded movies and tv shows and it plays just fine. If I try to cast live tv it plays but with no sound. His is the first time I have used google music and it is alright. Usually when I ask the link view to play music it is unpopular music I have never heard. When I ask to play pandora it seems to just add a station rather than play the station I already have. Overall it sounds great, the ability to use Chromecast is awesome, and being able to access YouTube is always a plus, but I don’t know if it was worth the trade from the amazon echo show, especially now that they came out with a newer model. If JBL and google can fix these few things than I think the JBL Link View is a steal!

How to get clock on screen when it gets dark

The brightness level of the Link View can be adjusted while in use, however the brightness level is at default when the Link View is in idle/standby mode. This was meant to be a screen saver as the clock shows, hence the brightness level cannot be adjusted. It just remains on a default level of the display brightness. Based on your description you might need a Clock Radio like the JBL Horizon. The brightness level adjust automatically to the surrounding light of the room.

How to factory reset

You can reset your JBL Link View by the following steps: 1. Turn on your JBL Link View, 2. Press and hold the VOL + and – buttons at the same time for about 10 seconds, 3. The device should shut down on its own and reboot. Should the issue still persist, please reach out to our Customer Support.

Been listening via TuneIn radio for the last few years and just recently no stations will load. Shows the station and show name but hangs there and doesn’t progress. What’s changed?? I can still stream tune in on every other speaker or tv on the same wifi

The sound is great and I love the display. I closed the camera slider as I don't use it for video chats. However, every morning I walk into the kitchen (without turning any lights on) and "Good Morning" shows up on the display. Why?

Yes, because our JBL Link View has a built-in Google Chrome cast. Just open your Google Home app and tap the device for which you want to cast your screen.

Will there be an update for the jbl link view so that it can use airplay? I thought it would be able to like the regular jbl link. I have a Apple ecosystem in my home and I love JBL but AirPlay would be a game changer on this.
