You need this if you party!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This thing is awesome! I was very skeptical of the party box line, but I am a believer now. The 520 is absolutely amazing. It’s not just a speaker system, but a true music experience. JBL sound quality, massive sound, and lights! The entire family jammed out for hours the first night we had it. Outside, the sound carries a very open area clearly. The 520 is fantastic for outdoor parties, pool days, and night parties are that much better due to the lighting effects (kids absolutely love it!). This is now one of my top 5 JBL favorite items ever! If you need big sound, the Party Box 520 is a no brainer.

New 520 party box !! Smashing it!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is real nice party box. It has a real clear sound and good base. The lights are nice and entertaining. I like that it can be linked back to other TWS units. This is not my first party box. I have a 310 in my garage and have used it for years. This new 520 has better sound quality and the volume has way more push. I use it out by the pool and it is perfect. The fact it is splash resistant is just what I needed. The AI sound is a nice addition so you aren’t adjusting it all the time. It is a heavier unit but the bigger wheels make it easy to move.

Amazing sound, very powerful speaker!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Amazing sound! The box is huge, connect easily to my Google TV with Bluetooth and the quality of watching Basketball or a movie is just wow.
This can easily be your TV sound system, and you can move it around...
The speaker is heavy, but the wheels help to move it, I was able to connect to my Flex TV as well and to my phone.
You can connect a Mic and a guitar as well.
It comes with a battery that you can replace in the future. It was not there on older models.
What i liked about this huge speaker is that it can replace all the speakers I have, specially for TV and Desktop.
There are lights and sounds you can change on the top of the speaker and JBL App (I used the android one) provide you full control of the speaker, include updates.
Enjoy Movies as never before!

I got this Speaker ( Partybox 520 ) a few days ago
and ooh my God , I am beyond impressed how good and
how loud this is . It has great sound and as deep Bass as to be
expected being a JBL Product.
We used it at a Barbecue yesterday and everyone there loved it .
They were Amazed how good it sounds and how cool and practical
the Partybox i . Also very easy to use as all the buttons and features
are pretty straight forward.
- Design.. the Partybox 520 looks pretty cool , the suitcase idea is
very ingenious. The telescopic handle and the wheels make pretty
easy to move and maneuver.
- Sound .. as JBL Product it sounds amazing , just in a much
larger scale this time. You can become a DJ and entertain your
family and friends.
- Control Panel.. all the buttons on top and on the back are easy to use.
You can Turn ON and OFF the lights just by pressing the button
on the top panel.
I found that with the JBL Partybox App you can turn the
speaker off if you desire.
- Size.. in my opinion is comparable to a large suitcase,
it is sturdy and weighs around 50 lbs.
Overall I think is another great product from JBL.

Just wow!
I received this speaker about a week ago. For someone who always organises family and friends events. We were always using a small Bluetooth speaker which was always too quiet and no one could really hear the music.
With this speaker. Oh my! It has completely changed how well the parties are going to be now. This speaker is heavy, coming in at 25kg. The handle and wheels really help when it comes to relocating the speaker.
The app is very intuitive and easy to navigate when changing the light modes, seeing battery percentage, changing EQ and adding MOOORREEEE BASS. If you purchase two, you can create a stereo pair!
If you are looking for a speaker for family or friend events. I highly recommend this speaker. You will not be disappointed.

BIG Sound BIG Package!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] OK, this is a BIG speaker, with a BIG sound. If you have heard, or own, any JBL products you know that GREAT JBL bass sound and the PartyBox 520 has the same sound. It WILL fill big spaces, like a pool or deck area. It would also be great to have in a party room or for a yard party. Operation and connection, using Bluetooth, are simple; it uses the same sound effects as other JBL products to confirm things, including Bluetooth connection. When those itty-bitty speakers say that they “have a big sound….” THIS is the sound they are talking about. That said, it also performed wonderfully at lower (living room) levels for me. It would also be great as amplification for a podium Microphone or two. There are two XLR inputs, one for Line in, on the back with adapters for Stereo plugs…. perfect for an instrument and microphone if you are a performer on a Patio or medium size club space. It also takes USB-C and a mini-plug Aux input. On top are controls for Microphone input, including bass, treble and echo. According to the specs, the Party Box 520 is ‘Splash-proof’. It’s powered by a JBL battery that is replaceable, it takes about 3 hours to charge, also according to the specs. Mine was 50% charged when delivered and I charged it overnight before use.
First Thing: I strongly encourage getting the App for control of the PartyBox. There are features in the app which allow customization, including a seven band Equalizer with other presets and different types of Bass Response. The App is also the only way to update the speaker’s firmware, something my app did automatically on the first connection. I presume that JBL will update firmware, and the app, as different options are enabled.
Effects Lab in the app is where the sound effects originate; one time per push. The app allows customization of three separate Sounds that play from buttons on top of the speaker. All the lighting settings are on the app, and it’s the same thing, you can set up your faves to play via controls on top of the speaker. It’s also possible to turn all the lighting off if needed, via the app.
All this BIG sound, Big Control and BIG fun comes in a relatively big package, as tall as the average 4-year-old, and heavier. There is a pop-up handle and wheels for portability. If you want to lift it, I suggest getting a partner. But for someone like a music therapist who travels within a building, it would be great.
Let’s get some actual usage. The JBL Party Box 520 is perfect for a pool or deck party, including music performances and/or Karaoke. Included with the sound effects are a few record scratches to use and some encouragement shoutouts. My favorite sound effect is the applause… I have that programmed into the “Thumbs Up” button on top so I can congratulate my kids after they sing. The lighting effects are great for a night-time yard party. Recently, I observed a Party Box in use as the primary sound system for a gym sized room and it was just fine - that bass really carries the sound.

Good speaker, a touch loud
This product is a great speaker if you want to rave and party! We have a warehouse so in there it works fantastic with the bass features and volume levels. The coloured lights are super fun and match the party vibe immensely. This product is super heavy but does have built in wheels and a handle. If you want to use this speaker at home the absolute most you'd be able to put it up to is 15% volume or it's simply too loud. Overall a great speaker and if you have the space definitely get it, but in a standard house it's not the best idea if you want to not anger your neighbours 😂

Awesome do it all speaker.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The speakers are awesome, they can fill up a whole room without really needing to crank the volume. Even when it gets louder the sounds dont get muddy and you can still have a quality output. The mic plug and plug factor was very easy to set up and using it for karaoke was a breeze. Just connect a bluetooth device and get a karoake app or lyrics video going with your mic and start singing. My only wish is that there was storage of some kind for mics or the power cable but I imagine 3d printing something would be easy enough.
