Philips PerfectCare Steam Iron is rated 4.3 out of 5 by 132.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great product that’s easy to use Really good product, nice design and great quality. Felt strange at first not having to set the temperature , especially on sensitive items like silk. Got used to it fairly quickly and I like that it turns off on its own if left on. At first use, it left some tiny white particles on the material but I’m assuming that was just some dust particles caught in the steam holes. Has not happened since initial use. Steaming functionality is good and does not drip. I’ve left it for several seconds on a silk and cotton blend top and no burn marks noticed. Works well on stubborn creases. Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great iron, but no indicator that the water level is low Having used this iron for a couple of weeks, I was surprised and pleased by the ease of use. There's no temperature gauge to mess with, and only a few simple settings to get the maximum results. It's heavy enough to give some clout with hard creases and saves you going over the material time after time. One thing I wish it would have is a water warning light or indicator. Due to this being a steam iron it uses the water rapidly and can empty itself twice over the course of four or five shirts. The instruction manual was also difficult to decipher, as it was a series of pictures with few words. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Brilliant Product Brilliant product and I particularly love that you don't have to adjust the temperature. I was a little unsure about this at the beginning since I have always been used to a temperature control dial on my irons. The weight isn’t too heavy and I particularly like the extra length of the flex on the model. The iron glides easily across all fabrics and removes creases painlessly which led to a stress-free iron session. The only fault I can see is the water tank being an oblique colour which makes it difficult to see how full the tank is. I would definitely recommend this iron. Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great Iron just not that easy to fill from a tap. This iron was used to replace my old iron and it's a huge improvement in its design and weight. I've uses it for two weeks not and my only issue is that their was no filling jug included They rather you fill the iron from the tap, this is a problem for me as my kitchen taps are quite low and I cannot get the iron under enough to fill without making a mess so I'm using the jug off my old iron. Aside from that the amount of steam it produces is impressive and it glides over clothes with ease. I've not had a Philips Iron before but its a change I'm glad to have made. Light and comfortable to use its 4.5/5 from me.... [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Avoid products with "OptimalTEMP technology" I should have listened to the other poor review. The "OptimalTEMP technology" means that instead of any temperature control the iron is meant to "sense" the correct temperature. For me, that meant three times as long ironing, and then nothing looks like it's been ironed. The only way to get anything vaguely wrinkle-free is to iron on the highest steam setting, and even then that doesn't work very well. I ended up having to wet EVERY single piece of clothing and then try to iron them dry to achieve any sort of wrinkle removal. Supremely disappointing iron. I'm going to write this one off as a really bad decision and go out and buy another iron.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from A step up from budget irons Having used cheaper irons all my life, this iron definitely feels like a step up. The iron produces great results and reduces the time I spend ironing which is the best outcome I could wish for. The iron will turn itself off if not used for a while which has happened to me when cooking so no more leaving the house and asking yourself the question... There are a number of different settings on the iron. Possibly because I am used to a budget iron but, for me, the number of different settings that this iron functions on is a little too much. Overall, a good iron worth the money. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Product, very happy with it I was very happy with this product, the steam on it was brilliant and got creases out of my clothes with minimal effort. I love that I do not have to adjust the temperature of this iron. In the past I have burnt clothes by not changing the temperature and using an iron too hot so this removes that problem for me and will save me a lot of time and money from having to buy new clothes! A family member has a steam generator and this does the exact same job but is a lot cheaper! Its stylish, comfortable to hold and easy to use. Very happy with this product. Rated 4 out of 5 by from This product really glides I loved the Philips PerfectCare Steam iron. The steam glide system makes ironing a breeze! I'd done about 10 shirts in no time at all! ironing which could usually take me the best part of 45 minutes took 25! The iron it's self is pretty big, and the design is very practical. much quieter than my previous iron, and the automatic switch off is perfect for a busy household! honestly, it's a dream to use, even around jeans pockets and shirt buttons. a major point for me, however, was having the power of a classic steam iron, but without the huge bulk which you would usually get.
