GREAT LOOKING PRODUCT
After researching for some time, I noted that almost all reviews on you tube placed Philips air fryers 1st or 2nd. I went for the Essential air fryer XL, I live alone but I wanted one that would cope with larger amounts if necessary.
Immediately upon unboxing I was impressed with its stylish looks and build quality. It’s very easy to use either using the presets, or manually. It has a touch screen which comes on when powered up. I wash the inner basket the tray by hand, I find dishwashers too abrasive. It sit neatly on the worktop. Why put it away it’s so classy looking.

Easy to use and does what it's designed for
This is the first air fryer we have bought, and we are happy with the purchased as its a well thought out product with easy to use buttons. The manual was straightforward and there is a link to an app with more ideas and receipes.
The first food we made in the air fryer was chips! And it took no time at all and actually tasted quite nice and the thought of eating it with less oil is a bonus too. The basket was easy enough to pull out and clean and the oil left in the tray was easily absorbed with some kitchen towels then dispose off in the bin. The only negative we can see is the power lead is very short, not sure if this is a safety reason or just oversight in design.
We decided on the Philips brand as we put our trust in quality and hopefully easy customer services should anything go wrong with the product, only time will tell if it's lives to be a work horse in the kitchen which I presume it would be.

Not Happy - no Instructions with the item.
Because I thought it came with an instruction booklet and recipes. Instead it came with nothing. It says I have to go onto the internet to find the cooking instructions.
I have put it back in its box and will probably give it away and buy one that teaches me how to use the product properly. I am 80 and I live alone and had save for an air frier and the people at Joyce Maine recommended this product for my needs. 'm sure it is good but I do not want to have to go onto the internet every time i want to cook something, Do you hvae a hard copy of your cooking instructions?

Cooked chicken and pork belly, followed youtube recipes - so easy to use. Best thing about using an air fryer is how fast it cooks the food over conventional oven! Been using it almost everyday!

I already had a Phillips airfryer but it was quite old ,so i upgraded to this one , great choice, bigger and faster ,very quiet,i do chicken ,pork steaks, stuffing balls , frozen yorkshires. The lot in it.its very big thou ,

Love it but wish they came with the rack!
Love my air fryer. Just wish it could hold more and that they put a rack inside so you can layer the food. Whenever you cook crumbed food it ends up with soggy parts as you have to pile them on top of each other. The racks should be standard with the appliance as its the only way you can cook properly.

Phillips air fryer
I just LOVE my new air fryer....I had a stand up kind one before and it did the job but was way more hands on than this one having to turn things over all the timeto acheive the desired result. This one really holds the heat and cooks very well....it has a pattern on the bottom that shoots air up t the bottom of food as well and cooks both sides at once. You do so,etimes still need to flip things over but I've forgotte to do so a coupl eof times and things have come out perfect anyway! It also fits a whole chicken in there too butterfly or in tact! I am very happy with my purchase.

Works Very Well
We upgraded to this from a 5 or 6 year old Philips air fryer. Was it worth it? Very much so, the controls are better, it cooks better and it has a larger basket. A whole chicken not only fits but cooks superbly in half the time.
