Great features!!
I bought this a month ago and love it. It’s so easy to use. The front panel has a really responsive quick start and the door is very light and just pulls open and shut easily. When the microwave is finished it makes a little tune instead of a beep which is lovely to hear. It appears small inside but still fits our dinner plates so we’re happy with that cause that’s all we need. I thought it was good value compared to others on the market.

Neat Little Blank Number
I did quite a bit of research to replace my microwave and after reviewing this LG I knew it was the perfect one. I've had an LG microwave before and was very happy with that one. This one has a beautiful sleek design but above all heats and cooks perfectly and then plays a little tune when its finished. It has numerous cooking settings but the time slider on the door is a fantastic idea. I am very happy with this microwave.

Great first impressions
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] First impressions are very good. I chose LG because we have had a number of LG products that have been great and also lasted well. Our previous LG MS-192 microwave lasted around 20 years,. I chose this particular model because its dimensions suit the space available for it and it is packed with features. Admittedly, we will only ever use the basic functions, but I like having the digital controls for more accurate timing. It is larger than the previous microwave but still very compact. The microwave is finished nicely with a comfortable recess to hold and open the door, and the touch controls are easy to use. Looking forward to getting a bit more adventurous with the features available.

Compact but powerful microwave that does it all.
Great little microwave. Small & compact but big enough to fit a large plate or dish inside. We had a specific space which was made for the previous microwave & this one being slightly smaller fits even better & is just as powerful. I like the all over black colour & sleek design The menu is on the inside, so that is different & takes getting used to, but easy to use. Nice even heating, easy to use & looks good. LG has a great reputation & this little microwave lives up to that...small but powerful. Fantastic value for money.

Long press keys please!
This oven looks good, works well.. its predecessor, exactly the same apart from cosmetic changes, lasted a long time so I expect this to be the beginning of a beautiful friendship.
The menu is somewhat irrelevant - cooking risotto in a microwave oven! but I just ignore it.
It would get one more star if keys like power levels worked with a long press as well as a short tap. As is, selecting 20% power (200W) requires tap-tap-tap-tap-tap-tap-tap-tap on the power key. Ok, it's a small annoyance, but an annoyance nevertheless,

Microwave Oven 24L model MS2596OB
Purchased the LG Neo microwave because my old one wouldn't fit in the cavity in our new home. After reading all the positive reviews, we decided to purchase this model.
It's a great buy and very easy to use and heats up better than my old Smeg microwave oven. So glad we opted for this. Its a 24L capacity microwave, but works like a 34L.
Highly recommend to anyone to purchase it with no hesitation. Value for money, looks sleek and love the music tune at the end of the heating cycle.

Easy, sleek, reliable
Absolutely thrilled with my LG - it’s easy to use (I only needed a microwave with simple settings as I only ever need it to reheat/defrost), it’s sleek (the hidden panel is so clever!), and reliable (food heats evenly and in very little time)!

Worked well - until it didn’t :(
I bought this three years ago and was very happy as I’d had the same brand previously. Unfortunately the insides in this one have literally rusted! What started out what I thought was looking splashes of food, progressively got worse. Researching others now.

Excellent purchase
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Great timer feature and display settings. Very easy to use straight out of the box. Black glossy colour works well with my dark kitchen and accessories, and the LED display is both functional and eye-catching. Internal rotation plate is very good and ensures a good and even distribution of heat to your food. Have not used it to its full potential, but so far very happy as it is also very easy to clean and maintain. Would buy again in a heartbeat.

Not happy
Microwave broke down last week of 2 year warranty. LG Wouldn't replace it but sent me to repair centre 30 minutes away. Quited 15 day turnaround. Been 12 days still no microwave. LG wontvrespond to my email request to replace it.

The second one better than the first.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The second one we have received has been much better than the first. The first one we needed to take back to be repaired under warranty, as it overheated quickly which affected its ability to heat food correctly. When we received the unit back from repair, we found that it had been severely damaged in transit and so we then eligible for a full replacement. The second one has not had the same problems as the first and has been good so far.

Doesn’t last
I brought this microwave just over 12 months ago worked well in the beginning. All of a sudden one night it stopped heating and sparking near the electrical plate. Luckily I was using it and took it straight outside. It is still under manufacturers warranty. However LG have been very difficult to deal with and the provider they sent me to pretty much told me that he does not want to deal with LG especially the microwaves, I would stay clear and buy another brand, not worth the money

Good little microwave cooks very well. Does get very steamy inside so has to be wiped out so it won't go rusty. Nice tune it has, but could get annoying. Easy to use.

Elegantly simple design
The best feature is the flat black glass door with no physical buttons. Instead it opens with a hidden handle and the touch panel has a cancel, start/30s and a slider to add time. The rest of the touch buttons are hidden behind the door to defrost or melt etc. It has a nice internal ceramic coating which is easy to clean and white LED lighting instead of halogen. It also happens to be much quieter than a traditional transformer type microwave.

Better than great Microwave Oven

We didn't shop around, went to our local Good Guys and bought this Microwave Oven. It is fantastic!. Modern, gorgeous design, easy to use, heats, cooks and defrosts really well. Excellent LG 25L Smart Inverter Microwave Oven
We've just given our last LG microwave (2007) to our daughter for her flat. There was absolutely nothing the matter with it. We purchased this smaller one to fit into a cavity in our renovated kitchen. It's a very good brand having had other LG appliances and so far the 25L Smart Inverter has performed well especially defrosting meat. Love the little tune when it's done.Thisis an early review as we've only had it a few weeks.

Quite good - but no sensor cooking.
I consider the design of this oven to be elegant. It is easy to clean and the controls are easy to operate. It looks good. It works well enough at this stage. One would think from the product code and the description on the LG website that it has the same feature set as the larger and more powerful MS4296OB. Not so! It does not have sensor cooking but 'popular menu'' where you enter the type of food (e.g. frozen vegetables) and the weight (in 0.1kg increments). The oven calculates the time. That adds an extra step. What happens if you want to cook 250g, not 200g or 300g? The Choice magazine review indicates incorrectly that this is a feature. You have to read the manual closely before you see the difference. As a single person with a small kitchen I just don't need the size or power of the larger oven. I would have happily paid a bit more for sensor cooking.

I was kind of forced into buying this microwave by the dimensions of the hole in the cupboards it was going in but it ended up being really good. Much better than the one it was replacing and much better than the price would suggest. Easy to use now that I have broken the habit of how I used the old one without thinking about it. Haven't cooked in it yet but thawing out food, melting things and reheating things works well.

I gave my kitchen joiner the microwave measurements from the "Description" when you scroll down to the bottom. The diagram records the dimensions as W 470mm H 272mm D370mm. I have just seen that the Specs record the W as 476mm? What is correct ?

Hi there, If placing this in a cavity in the kitchen, please can you let me know how much space is required around the outside of the microwave for adequate ventilation? Thanks
Hi Kate. The manufacturer has recommended a clearance of at least 15 cm of space on the top and 10 cm at the left & right and 5 cm at the rear for ventilation. The front of the oven should be at least 8 cm from the edge of the surface to prevent tipping. Hope this helps.

Can you turn off the chime it makes when cooking is completed, or change it to a beep?
Thanks for your question. Yes, press and hold the 'Clear' button then press the 'Keep Warm' button for 5 seconds then the display will show the changing state 'On' or 'Off" for the completion chime. Please note, this won't disable all beeps and chimes, and will mean you need to monitor food more regularly. Hope this helps!
