[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] was only planned to buy a replacement for a broken microwave but when doing some research and this Panasonic 27L Flatbed Steam Combination Microwave does attract us as it equips with cooking functions including microwave, grill, oven and steam and the it also provides the combinations of any of those 3 to make the cooking even more dynamic. Was a bit wondering if it could do every separate function but it does good job and the cominbation delivery the even beter results and I am going to explore more combinations and it certainly save lots of time and let the cooking become even more creative and fun.

I have tried baking yet but the steak I grilled was the most tender mouthwatering steak I have ever cooked and eaten.
I steamed some asparagus and snow peas together to have with it. They were perfect! Heating up frozen meals is a dream, so easy.
Reheating a cup of tea or making a hot chocolate is a breeze and doesn’t taste like it’s been reheated. The interior is very easy to clean as there are no little nooks that you can’t get to and it looks attractive in my kitchen although I do wish I could put it in my pantry but I’m in love with it all the same.

Perfect for any kitchen
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I didn't get a freebie to write this review - which, to be honest, made me sceptical of the reviews on this website from so many 'who did' when I was doing my homework. Finally, I did purchase the DS59NB a month ago, carefully unpacked (encase I wanted to return - as I had on another brand recently) and I am delighted to say I am 100% pleased with this oven. Easy to use, easy to clean, exceptionally great grill that is very even across four slices of toast. A good cookbook which I will fine tune as I get more into the mix of cooking options this great little unit will provide.

Great steamer!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’ve been using this for a couple of weeks now and I love it! The steam function is my favourite and does fish perfectly, even from frozen. The auto menu settings are very helpful and it make beautiful chips and hash browns fluffy inside and crunchy outside. The only downside I think is not knowing how long a setting will take until you start it. Makes it hard to coordinate the rest of a meal you might be making on another appliance. The oven pre heat time takes ages too, no quicker than an ordinary oven despite being smaller. Overall though an amazing easy to clean appliance!

Disappointing oven
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this a month ago (on sale) but I only use the convecton and microwave options. The instructions are unclear, referrring back to pages. I can't decipher the auto and combination cooking options.
It is very hard to remember to take the grill tray in and out and where to put it when not in use. The controls offer limited choice of time and confusing to program to preheat and then cook in oven.
The steam option is not good to use as it uses a lot of water for just one setting and the oven is dripping with water. I am not game to try the grill function. It is far too complicated for me to use other than the microwave or oven options. It is not easy to add time when cooking in the oven as it immediately cools. It is all very confusing.

Excellent quality, features and looks
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Having researched multiple combination microwaves, air fryers and steamers we settled on the NN-DS59NBQPQ for several reasons including features, price, quality and looks. Having owned the oven for a month, thus far it has exceeded expectations and we still haven’t used all its features. In particular the speed and quality of the food it cooks is fantastic, including using some of the auto programs, In addition, having the ability to steam, bake and grill as well as (better than) air fryer menus is a game changer not only cutting cooking time down after a busy day at work but also removing additional ‘clutter’ from the kitchen worktop. Highly recommended.

Great Features and worth the price

Thanks for your question Brent. This oven is designed for counter-top use only. It is not intended for built-in use or use inside a cupboard and is not compatible with a trim kit. The oven must be placed on a flat, stable surface, more than 85 cm above the floor. For correct operation, the oven must have sufficient air flow, i.e. 5 cm at one side, the other being open; 25 cm clear over the top; 10 cm at the rear. Trust this helps!

Hi, does this combi microwave have a defrost function? Can you bake a cake in it? Can you cook roast chicken? And roast potatoes? Can you have 2 trays at a time? So you can roast a chicken and roast potatoes at the same time? Thank you
Thanks for your questions. Yes, this does have a Defrost function which uses weight and food type to give an even defrost. It doesn't have a specific Roast function in the instructions, though you can use it for potatoes, and chicken. They have different settings and cooking times for each, so we can't confirm if you can do both at the same time, and would be trial and error. Trust this helps! ^CO
