Rated 5 out of 5 by from Here's to another 30+ years friendship. It is going to take a while to be able to learn to drive the Chef to its full advantage, but what I have done so far, I am very happy. It is great to be able to proof my bread doughs in the bowl and measure ingredients directly. My old Chef is still chugging along as good as the day I bought it 30+ years ago, but a couple of the attachments no longer do the job and I couldn't find suitable replacements. Plus, it is good to be able to treat yourself to a newer and better toy. An Xmas present from my wife. I got the juicing attachment as a bonus and it works a treat, the only downside is the amount of cleaning required at the end. I expected the lemon seeds to be crushed into the juice, but they are expelled along with the pith. I am looking forward to giving it a major workout over Xmas.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Cooking kenwood just ok Some great features but others missing from previous kenwoods. I like the way it heats. A very useful feature. I really miss the light from my previous kenwood platinum xl. I hate the way the speed control needs you to tap a button first. You can't just turn the speed up and down. Scales are a great feature and appear very accurate.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very good After only few days of using it, I think it is overall a great machine. Not perfect but none of them is. Having used a food processor with guided cooking for some years I can see that there is room for improvement there. It is ok with the app on the phone, but the choice of recipes not as big, they seem to only be in English (which I guess is ok for most), and the guided part is a bit clunky. But I love that I can make cakes and meringues much easier/better than in a processor, I can clean the bowl much better than in a processor. I love how the pictures appear on LCD screen and generally how it looks on my kitchen bench. I have not cooked anything savory yet so I cannot comment on that unfortunately. I am looking forward to getting some more use from the Cooking Chef.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Weighs, controlled temperature for slow cooking, For the last 50 years wished for a Kenwood cake mixer but could never afford one until recently when I treated myself to the latest Kenwood Chef XL. What a disappointment for me, it promised lots of recipes on the preset program but it is very limited. Most demonstrations on YouTube are in a foreign language. Why haven’t you teamed up with a well known chef/cook to give guidance/demos of tried and tested recipes?
