Blimmin Amazing!
My only regret, is that I didn't know about this vaccum years ago.
With four cats and three kids, our brand new carpets got manky QUICKLY. Our new Hoover vaccum was just plain useless and was not cutting it.
Heard about the Shark, watched the demo online, read all the reviews and decided it was worth the risk.
Omg - I LOVE cleaning the house, as it ACTUALLY picks up the cat hair, fluff and dirt. And I no longer have to cut all the long hair out of the foot - as this one cuts it automatically!
Trust me, if you have pets or kids with long hair, and carpets... You're gonna love the Shark XL...

Much Improved Shark Vacuum
I do like Shark Vacuum Cleaners so I am a little biased however This one is certainly an improvement over my last one. There's nothing worse than trying to detangle rollers and remove trapped hair but the new roller design makes cleaning the head so much simpler.
All the controls for the head height and the power button situated on the handle makes life easier, in fact, the new location for all the operational buttons is a distinct improvement over previous models.
Cleaning is effective with this machine and it is doubly so since we have two dogs that shed fur regularly, keeping the home clean is a breeze. The inclusion of new tools for dealing with fur on upholstery is an added bonus.
Altogether a great purchase.

Shark glides on my carpet
Here’s another 5 star review, let’s keep it going.
I jumped on the bandwagon and purchased this and realised my misery of 7 years with a traditional vacuum cleaner, the motorised head is the key to pulling away dirt from deep inside the carpet.
This Stratos picked up a handful of rabbit fur from the carpet within a metre that couldn’t be seen with bare eyes. For a small 3 bedroom house I emptied the bin twice, given the first time and it’s doing the job. I’m looking forward to vacuuming in a few days again, which I previously hated.
It’s a cleverly designed machine, where the main unit can be easily pulled away if needed and also the top hose can be disconnected easily to clean nooks and crevices along the vacuuming journey. The upright design means that the unit stays well rested on the ground while the hose is removed.
It’s easy to remove the dust bin and empty without getting hands dirty. And I just found out the inlet and outlet filters to the main motor can be washed, dried and reused, sound every convenient and cost efficient along with bangles making it bang for the buck.
I will look into buying the battery powered Shark soon as well if they are this good

Amazing for pet owners
Just brought one and it is amazing. I vacuumed with my Dyson before going off to but the shark out of frustration of not picking up dog hair from the carpet. Once unboxed and put together I thought wow what a solid built pice of kit this vac is. I proceeded to vacuum the floor that was previously done by the Dyson and wow not only had it picked up the dog hair in one pass the dirt that was missed from the now demoted Dyson was also sucked up. If you own pets you must have one of these shark vacuum cleaners. This amazing and also very easy to empty the container once full.

Great suction and mobility
I brought this last night. i have had a Shark model before and I am not disappointed.
Great suction, love the long cord. I have four dogs and two who shed, this vacuum is amazing. So very pleased with my purchase.

A necessity if you have pets
If you think your current Vacuum is getting the job done, think again. We did out floors with a late model Electrolux, then again with our new Shark XL, and almost a full container of crap came out. If you have animals, this is a must. No need to spend thousands on a Dyson, this does the job for half the price. Highly recommend

Had a dyson, and samsung jet 90. Dont waste your money on these. Glad i bought this shark stratos. You'll be surprised in how much dirt and pet hair will come out. 1 session of this was equivalent to 5 days of dirt i got from the stick vacuums whicch costsore than 1000$.

Terrific suction, a bit heavy
I bought this as I was fed up with the short life of a battery vacuum and the lack of suction. This vacuum has incredible suction and feels like it gets every last animal hair. The roller does not get tangled in hair. The con is that this vacuum is very heavy. The base can be taken off so you can use it as a hand held with the hose, but still heavy. For me, the deep cleaning power is worth the heaviness and I still have the quick but less efficient battery stick for quick cleans.
