Rated 5 out of 5 by from Another great addition to home [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received this vacuum earlier this week and it has been an eye opening experience once I started using it, the motor bar attachment picked up so much that was in my carpet I was astonished. Despite the battery having a 49 minute capacity it can put in so much more work that you think, it also is convenient that the air being suctioned gets filtered out when expelled from the vacuum. Another plus is that it is so light and can reach anywhere that may be hard for a normal vacuum. Overall great product and would definitely suggest to others looking for a new vacuum

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great vac for user with an energy limiting illness As a person living with ME, I was looking for a vacuum that would take minimal spoons to use and this one is perfect. It’s quiet, small and really light and easy to use. I can vacuum for 5 or 10 minutes and then just lean it in a corner while I rest and it’s narrow enough that it’s not in anyone’s way. The attachments are all useful and easy to click into place, though I have had a little trouble with the submarine attachment and it would have been good to have attachments that could be clicked on without having to bend (POTS!) as I saw some of the other models had. All in all though I would absolutely recommend this machine to other people with energy limiting illnesses, I’ve been able a lot more independent with my cleaning since I got it.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great little vacuum! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love how light and maneuverable this vacuum is and how strong the suction is. I also found removing the bin was very easy, however, I found the size of the bin way too small, with the strong suction it has to be emptied frequently. The filter on this model is much easier to clean and service and the battery life seems to be about double of the earlier cordless stick vacuums. The long tube is much narrower than the other models but the attachments from all my other Dyson vacuums work with it. It's great for small spaces.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Powerful Bought this V9 to replace an older V7 model: better vacuuming and maneuverability! Works very well on both carpet and hardwood. Even used it on the bedspread to remove lint. Easy to clean. The HEPA filter and the time usage/count down feature are pluses. Has similar attachments as both the V7 and V8. That being said, it is unfortunate the attachments from previous Dyson’s do not fit and the V9 uses a different docking/charging station. It would be helpful to know how to responsibly recycle/repurpose these unusable pieces.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good Performance I was very surprised how lightweight the vacuum is. It has a powerful suction and the battery lasts quite a long time. It moves in small areas easily and under cabinets. I mostly use it on hardwood and tile in on the main floor of our house. It works well on rugs if they are thick. The thinner washable rugs it is much harder to use since the suction is so good. Overall, I am enjoying the stick Vac.

Great suction, perfect if you have fur babies and the maneuvering is so smooth. I can even get into areas I couldn’t with other vacuums. It has 3 attachments so I was even able to use it to clean my car. Very happy with it

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Long Time Dyson Fan vs the new Dyson V9 I had a great Dyson before this one. My husband bought it for me. To me it is more difficult to hook up, but greater than that, it is very uncomfortable for my right hand. The other model that I used fit my hand and was most comfortable. This one is not conformed proper for a hand with the finger on the button. World of difference in the comfort between the old one and this one. If I had tried it in a store, I would NOT have purchased this model. Plus there seems to be less space for the dirt. And they say this one is a better model. No way.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Want spare parts?? First let me say I love the performance of my Dyson V9, which I got on sale at a very reasonable price. I purchased this vacuum mainly for long trips in our camper, but still wanted to use it in the house. So as soon as I read the charging station setup, I realized I would like to have an extra charging cord. I cannot find any extra parts for the V9 series anywhere. The battery is different from all the other Dyson batteries. So not just any charging cord will work. Therefore, in order to share the charging cord between the house an camper, I cannot actually install the charging station. I'm guessing the lack of parts available is why this vacuum had such a great price.
